Yeah I put 218 handles on my 202 Tundra and it’s not really noticeable unless you’re looking for it.

thanks for the links and tips., that liftgate finish panel is not cheap...
War Machine that is a great price to paint all that, i called 3 of my local shops and they all said 400- 550!! and thats just for the grill and liftgate finish panel.
i was even bringing the parts in prepped and ready...lol

 

Damn! Keep checking around. It’s really not that much work so that’s really expensive. I get it costs a bit to set up and mix paint but 500 bucks for that is ridiculous.

 

i know, crazy right??? lol, i even told them to just leave the parts there til they do some other job black and just paint it then...
i even checked some vinyl wrap places and they want about 300 to 400 for that too...i live in northern virginia so things are pretty expensive here...
ill keep looking because it doesn't appear the grill in black is going to be around anytime soon...
every company i have contacted said the black grill is on a 3 to 60 month back order...

Does anyone have experience with the conversion of the old headlights(2007 thru 2017) to the newer 2018+ LED OEM headlights?
New OEMS are about $1800, vs
Vand replica for $800 ish, vs
used OEMS for maybe $1000 ish?

I'm not sure if anyone has upgraded to the newer headlights, but you’d have to also swap out the garnish under the headlights. They are shaped differently.

You’d also have that useless headlight sprayer / washer to contend with if yours has them.

 

thanks. the garnish is about $60 bucks or so if you go OEM, the Vlands come with the garnish, regardless of how you go it needs to be painted..
i dont have the washers so thats ok, but i have read from others that the washers dont work if you make the upgrade

 

I have the new headlights, (and black PRO grille & silver bulge) they are available with patience for about 350 each on eBay & the harness is 110 or so. I love them!

-with the harness was it plug and play?
-was it xrunnerdudes harness?
-i noticed broken tabs on a lot of the used ebay ones, did yours have that, and if so did it effect the mounting at all?

Xrunner's harness is plug & play (you have to remove a fuse, plug in the harness there) replace the fuse to the connector provided. On my Tundra I had a broken tab that did not matter, on the Sequoia I was able to find a pair that were intact. Under Platinum trim, there is a black garnish, Platinum is silver. I did not know & had a mixed set on the Tundra, I ended up with a silver "extra" which was ok as it's in the Sequoia now and I just waited to find the second one.

 

I need to do this to the wife's 2015. Did you buy the Vland lights? I saw they were sold out a while back.

 

I'm not familiar with Vland, what are they?


I looked them up, are you referring to aftermarket headlights? These are '18+ Toyota OEM.

i did not buy the vlands, if anyone has it would be nice to get a review...
i did read on some other posts, some guys got the vlands first, but then swapped for OEM later, they didnt really explain why..

vlands are sold out at a lot of places, but they can still be found if you dig around a bit, ebay, some random sites, etc...
but some have jacked up the price from 699 to 999...

vlands come with the harness and the garnish for underneath.
used OEM, you need to buy those separately.

please keep us posted if you make a change, im in shopping mode for the used OEMS, unless a great Vland review gets posted..
also shopping for the TRD pro sequoia grill(in black) and molding to complete the front update..

Hi Cabrio, i want the OEMs, i have not heard any reviews on the aftermarket Vland replicas..

 

There's a guy here who installed the Vlands in his 2nd gen. Don't know his @ tho...

 

Another option is the morimoto put them on the wife’s sequoia we’re happy with them

Hey truck is method 701 zero offset on Mickey Thompson’s baja boss on 37s

wife’s is method 305 plus 25 offset 275s on 18s baja hybrid Cant recall the name.

FOGLIGHT upgrade SEQUOIA from 2008 to 2018+ style...it goes from round to rectangle shape.

has anyone done the 2018+ fog light and bezel upgrade yet?

here are the parts, the part finder says it does not fit, but since sequoias didnt change 2008 to 2021 i wondered if these might just pop in?

I’m almost certain that any parts should be interchangeable from 2008 to 2022. The headlights are literally the only real change they made in all that time, other than adding safety sense.

 

War machine, i agree, the only thing that concerned me was the round bezel to rectangle, but i think it would work...its free returns so i might just give it a shot.

im slowly gathering the parts for the sequoia TRD grill and 2018 headlight conversion.
if anyone has these parts or a lead to one, i still need these items-

-used RIGHT SIDE(passenger), 2018+, black(SR5) LED Sequoia headlight.
-harness adaptor for 08 to 18 headlight, i have requested from xrunner, waiting for response.
-under headlight garnish(2)
-TRD pro sequoia grill, preferably black, but ill paint it if its not.

im watching ebay every day on all of these, there are a few on there but have not found one i want yet.

almost ready to make the conversion..

So when I did my wife’s I got some bezels from a tundra and it didn’t work then I tried an order sequoia bezel and still didn’t fit. I heard that a 2nd gen tundra bezel will work. But that’s why I didn’t go with baja for fogs diode dyn they sold

I’ll have to get more pics in the daylight. My wife has been waiting on the Sequoia to be updated for a long time.
I’ve had feelers out for several months. A few have become available but she was dead set on a Windchill Pearl Platinum. About a week and a half ago a salesman hit me up saying they had one allocated. It’s 2wd but she never needed or used the 4wd on the other one anyway.
Got a price and trade in value we were happy with so we made a deposit.
He messaged me right when I got home yesterday to let me know it came in. We’d already had everything worked out ahead of time so we spent half an hour checking it out, about 20 minutes signing paperwork, and we were on our way.
