    The camera will bolt in but the connections are different. The 2.5 gen is 6 pin and the 2nd gen is 4.

    That’s not a 2nd Gen connector - that’s an aftermarket connector. You’ll have to get an adapter, and no idea where

    Yeah I've been researching. I need a pin diagram for my 2016 then maybe figure out what the aftermarket harness wires do to possibly source a corresponding terminal or splice into the stock terminal/harness

    This is the camera itself. XR1 is the connector at the tailgate and X1 is the connector on the camera.

    The numbers listed on the diagram in the blue box for the camera are the terminals at that connector.
    1= CURT (must be a second ground, because it splices to pin 5)
    2= CV- (video negative)
    3= CV+ (video positive)
    4= (empty)
    5= CGND (ground)
    6= CB+ (power)

    Ah so it's basically a 5 pin. The aftermarket terminal is 4 pin. I bet I can mess around and get the corresponding wires spliced where they need to go. Thanks Casey

    I'm thinking I could cut the 4 pin male terminal off then splice into the OEM wiring

    I'm guessing Pin 1 is the guidelines... Aftermarket cameras have a loop that I believe is a grounded line that you cut to remove them. I might de-pin that one and see what happens, since I've been looking at this for a while.

    My Kenwood has adjustable lines, so I was wanting to use those and dial things in a little more than the factory ones. It’s more of a curiosity thing than something that I need to do

    I think most decent after-market HUs parking lines can be turned off.
    Some of them have a predictive(?) like my wife's Cadillac that move with the steering wheel.
    Not sure if there is any way to cancel the OEM parking lines..

    As @TRDFerguson stated, my Kenwood also has adjustable lines.
    I like them better than the OEM, but I haven't found a way to turn them off.

    My camera works ok, I wouldn't mind a clearer picture though.
    I had issues with it not working correctly a couple of years ago and it seemed to fix itself..

    It would sometimes give me a blank screen but still had the text warming on it.

    My 9906 has the lines removable in one of the Maestro menus I think.

    You’re saying the Maestro can disable the OEM lines? I haven’t seen that on my 9707s but I’ll go poke around some more.

    Found the setting (that’s god-awful where it’s buried…) but it didn’t change the OEM guide lines. I’m guessing it’s hard-set in the camera like aftermarket ones, with the CURT wire controlling it. Going to mess with it later if I have time.

    Agreed, Maestro's menus defy common sense. Every time I flash my unit I have to muddle to rescan the PIDS to get my transmission temp gauge back.

    Not looking forward to doing it after the replacement to the 1057.

    Sorry it didn't help.
