Sometimes we Harrop owners let them in front just to ease the tension. People are always gunning for you when you’re at the top of the food chain, and it’s lonely at the top.

Ok so back on track here. Went for a little drive this morning with the foam blocking the area of concern and in fact did confirm a ton of heat comes from the gap. Hopefully I ordered the right oem part to fix it.

@snivilous Let us know about the draggy rental program and pulley costs lol

Whatever this forum told me to do
    I'll be damn...

I just went out and looked at my air gap.

underneath the plastic cover thing...it opens right up to the air inlet.

thanks for pointing this out. @reywcms:bowdown:

gonna stuff it with foam this weekend.

I'm thinking I'll carve up a pool noodle, add some color under the hood. seems to be the trend.:)

LOL, yea its a huge gap even with that oem part there. I just went to ace and snagged foam you'll need at least 1.5" thick to fill the gap but thicker the better to help it conform to the gap. 3ft should be plenty. Also, thinking of adding small holes in the liner once I receive it to help get some air flow.

Curious to see what temps you see post addition of foam. Might not be much but it cant be any worse thats for sure.

Just to recap, Snivilous may do the pulley design for us Maggy owners? I'm down for whatever.

I'll measure around, considering there's some level of interest then that's all the more reason to order a batch. Maybe do the hub style and press on both. I do like the hub idea so then I can dial in the exact boost, plus would make belt installation way easier.

Also double the price and as you pointed out, useless unless someone wants to ever swap pulleys. Plus would mean people could only run whatever sizes I ended up buying lol

Do you think you will make the pulley as well? I'm not at the stage to build the block yet, but don't mind swap out fuel pump for this.

Getting tuned tonight, it rained a bit, but if it's dry tomorrow I'll do few pulls with the racelogic.

Remote tuning can be done a few ways. The way we did it is we logged runs on the laptop via HP tuners and sent the computer file to the tuner. He would then make changes then would send back the file where we would up load them into the vehicle. This was done over whats called the interweb.

Another way is to remote login into the computer and do it live but same thing. Data log runs, rewrite files, load into vehicle.

That's the way i did the Taco. I got the newer Pro version that's supposed to save a file to the dongle itself but i never figured that part out.

This is how YotaWerx Tuning (myself) does it, using VFTuner.

Pretty common practice across many vehicle platforms, going back several years.

    Gotcha. Appreciate it

my only experience with tuning is walking into D3 performance and seeing my truck hooked to a bunch of wires on the dyno.

they showed me all kinds of crap but nothing hit bottom.

luckily they sent me a graph

Speaking of vacuum lines does it matter if the line enters the intake before or after the MAF? It looks like the intakes all have the vacuum line enter after the MAF, what is the reason why?
