I've owned 2 Kenwood and 2 Pioneer HUs in my 2014.
The screen lag is why I currently have a Kenwood..

IMHO the screen lag was a deal breaker..

The only lag I've seen so far is when I'm using the browser

I doubt it. There's not a huge market for used units. My current unit works, just no way of getting Netflix or anything like that on it.

Did you get your camera working? I had an extra harness from the Maestro kit that I accidentally skipped over during install.

I did! Unfortunately with this nicer, bigger screen my camera is horrid. Has anyone done a cam swap using the stock placement?

Someone else had the same thing and they swapped something in the connection. Let me see if I can find that post.

Same as playing Nintendo 64 on a HD TV. It just wasn’t noticeable before.

In other news the 3.0 update has zero upgrades that i can tell with my normal use.

Got a Maestro question for the group. I noticed the other day when listening to SiriusXM that when I change channels, it doesn’t change to my next preset, it changes to the next actual station. Did I screw up a Maestro setting when I flashed it or is this just how it is?

It may be the same for radio, XM, song track etc…? Try a long press vs short press on the button.

Ok I’ll try that before pulling it out again. Honestly haven’t listens to regular radio yet so I don’t know if it’s the same or not.

I may need to pull it again anyway because when I originally flashed it, I used the left/right arrows to turn on the gauges, which I don’t need since I created a widget for the gauges on the screen. So now I can’t fast forward/rewind songs. Didn’t think of that originally.

It’s probably the Maestro programming. The It is possible that the XM tuner responds differently than the app. If you’ve got the RR2 it’s really easy to program over Bluetooth.

I have the RR, not the RR2. Assuming that doesn’t do Bluetooth?

    Ditto on the BT Maestro!

I have a similar issue with XM station surfing except when I hit back on my steering wheel it does gauges instead of go back a station like I want it to. I'm gonna have to pull the unit out anyway but eh... 3rd time flash is the charm

Also the RR2 has user programmable inputs. The documentation on them, that I’ve found so far, is poor. But supposedly you can control some other things like lights, winch , radar detector, etc. I’ve not tried it yet so not sure how that part works.

Same here. I didn’t really know what I was getting into when I made my settings and flashed. Now that I’ve actually been using it, I know what I need and don’t need.

After I had to pull my HU the second time to reprogram the RR, I ended up sticking it under the center dash speaker grille so I could just pull the RR without the rest coming out. I don’t have the center speaker in place anymore.

You might even be able to reach it through the speaker hole.....maybe not lol. I think I ziptied or double sided taped mine when I installed my current Pioneer. I think I read where someone just left a longer USB cable attached to it as an option but do you have to unplug everything from it to flash it?

Just thought of something......write your serial numbers on the bottom of the center speaker grill so the radio doesn't have to be pulled out again...unless you save the box and it's printed on it.

You do have to unhook all the connections in order to flash, but maybe removing the negative battery terminal would be good enough? I did take a pic of my HU’s serial number for this reason lol

Yeah everything has to be unplugged I think. It's the RR module. As for the S/N on the radio I wrote it down

No. I ordered another tailgate cam that has better resolution and I'm gonna pop it out to try and fit it in mine.
