So you are getting questionable readings on the DS with the scan tool and no readings at all in the PS? Are you also getting ID numbers and temps on the DS?

Lol. At any rate, I can't get the pressures to show up on the dash display. It doesn't matter if I'm using the scanner or drive cycle. There has to be an easier way. I'm considering returning the tool because it isn't doing me any good at this point. I have no idea why it won't read the passenger side sensors. I'll take it to work with me tomorrow and try scanning them after a 20 mile drive.

The driver's side will show the Id, temp, and pressure. The tool won't even connect with the passenger side.

Does anyone know what shows up on the instrument panel if one or more of the TPMS sensors are dead? Do you get dashes on all four wheels or just the one(s) that died?

Than you have dead batteries or damaged sensors is my WAG. Scientifically deduced, of course.

They were good until I rotated. I just think the truck wants to be a pain in the rear. When I first bought the sensors, it took quite a long time for them to register before the pressures even came up.

I wonder how old they were when you bought them. Maybe if the batteries are getting low it takes longer for the truck to verify them as legit.

They were backordered at the time so I wouldn't think they would be that old. Life expectancy is up to 10 years.

Take the Autel 508 tool to another vehicle and see if you can read that vehicles TPMS. If you can then it has to be bad sensors on your truck.

I'll try the 4R but I don't think they are bad. They were fine last week.

I haven't tried yet, but I did talk to Autel today. He said try an earlier model year (#3) or drop the tire pressures about 10 pounds and it should trigger the sensors to be detected.

I haven't messed with it yet. I will try it tomorrow since I will be off.

So I was able to use #3 and it was able to read and trigger all 4 sensors very easily. Now I'm stuck on the position relearn procedure. When I turn the ignition on and plug into the OBD, the tool does not do anything. Am i.missing something? I can't believe a tire rotation can be such a PITA. The truck apparently sees that the sensors are there and just not showing the pressures. I deflated the tires to 30 psi and the TPMS light came on with a notification that a tire was low. I aired them all back up and the light went out. I tried the reset again as stated in the manual and went for a drive. Still a no-go on detecting pressures...that's why I bought the tool. At least the 4Runner shows the pressures, just in the wrong tire positions as I rotated tires from front to rear. I haven't even messed with that one yet.

Anyone in the Dallas area own the TS508? If so, want to scan and program mine so that my truck recognizes the newly changed sensors? I don't mind paying a bit but don't want to spring for the TS508.

Discount Tires wants $93 to do it.

I'll look at mine and post pics. The 2020 option in the TS508 doesn't work for the 2020. I had to use the 2019.

Not sure if I can post this but someone in Ohio has an Autel TS508 listed on Offerup for $135. Listed as never used.

Im here at firestone where I have lifetime rotation and they want me to pay to have the TPMS light not come on after a 5 tire rotation where all 5 have senors. Curious if that update has fixed your TPMS relearn issues @Tundra234 ? I may consider buying one as I have had my stupid TPMS light on for 15k miles but all pressures are exactly where I want them (and higher than the threshold)

I gave up on the truck learning the sensors after tire rotations. I have 2 of the Autel TS508's.

That's a bummer. You would think for how much toyota charges for these trucks something simple like the truck realizing what sensors are where would be a simple thing. If there was a way to disable the light/system all together i would do it. I can rotate the tires in my 2012 raptor where I run a 5 tire rotation and in about 10 miles of driving the truck sorts itself out.

I've rotated a few times now on my 21 with PTS (push to start) and have had no issues with OBD relearn on the Autel TS508WF recognizing the 5th spare. From conversations with @Tundra234 it seems as though the ability to add the spare on the dash display has to do with PTS and the likely use of a different CPU than the standard keyed ignitions, regardless of model year.
