I can but want to do as much at once as possible. The rad got here last time in less than a week so it shouldn’t be long.

I knew what it was right when I saw the edge of the box.

That's, like, every radiator I've ever had shipped to me. I had one that was really annihilated, will see if I can find a pic of it in a bit.

SPC's went back via FedEx today. They setup a UPS home pickup for the billies and blocks, so now I'm stuck at the house for the next few days waiting.

I have a FedEx warehouse and a UPS store very close to my place, talking blocks away on one, a little over 2 miles on the other. From that perspective it kinda sucks, I'd prefer to drop off at UPS store and be done, but I'm happy they're taking the return.

Still not out of the woods yet, even when it goes back, I'm out $2k until everything is refunded. On the upside, sold another bike this week, will have another $700 in the slush fund come August 10th, that's money I didn't have previously.

I will say this: They've been really responsive to messages. I still have no idea who tf I'm talking to, they never sign their name. But at least I'm not getting the snub.

I think I'm going to hunt locally for parts next go-round. The carrier warehouses in ATL are friggin brutal on packages. Packing on these wasn't adequate to survive. I guess they may not sell to a lot of people deep in the city like I'm stuck being right now.

That stinks. Hopefully you get everything ironed out. I see mention of Bike. Are we talking dirt scooter, roadgoer, or the pedal variety?

i got a order from parts geek where everything had been opened. inside the control arm boxes (for my buddies corolla) was shirts and shit.
someone at the UPS facility had opened the box and stolen the arms.. and put random junk in the boxes. this is the 2nd time this has happened to me with UPS. my first set of pistons for my 01 tacoma were stolen at UPS and filled with random garbage in the boxes

It eats Aluminum when sitting. It also dilutes oil pretty well which is why oil needs to be changed sooner with e85. E99 is the only ethanol I’d ever run. E85 is just good if your running boost and need more octane

Pedal, vintage, typically 60s-80s, sometimes 90s. Usually road/racing, sometimes touring, sometimes mountain. All depends. I had a short 6mo stint at a shop when I was in high school, so very familiar with repair/refurb. For the lsat 15-20 years, I've had automated keyword search feelers out in a few places for specific terms that result in a few emails per day in my inbox. Won't disclose what I made on this one, my typical return on scores is 3x-4x (depends whether I restore, refurb, or just flip it), but my "holy grail" find a few years ago cost me $1k, and when all was sold, I walked away with over $8k without turning a single bolt. You just gotta know what you're looking for, its significance & demand, what damage to watch out for, and be able to negotiate w/people. It's a decent side hustle if you've got the niche knowledge.

Not that you asked me, but around here (180 mile radius of ATL) those usually run $50-75/bare wheel, no TPM or tire included. Some people will list closer to $100/whl but those are the ones that sit for a long time and I reckon they probably take an offer for less. There's someone in Knoxville who posts ads incessantly with 'WTB 17" Toyota/Lexus wheels' and has several pairs of 'new take offs' listed that sit for months and months on end at $800-$1200, to the point they're probably far from new anymore. I always chuckle and think of FirstGenVol when I see it.

A condensed version of what I'm dealing with is over here. Seller has been OK about everything so far, so I'm refraining from posting pics of what I received, it was fairly bad IMO, not as bad as your case though. I still suspect they either got screwed by the warehouses, or by UPS same as you, but ... I can't say for sure. If it honestly isn't their fault, I wouldn't be surprised if they think I'm actively trying to screw them right now, the thought is always in the back of my head.

@shifty` , I’m curious on deets for that bike you mentioned. I am kinda partial to new tech but I like old frames. DM me the info if you don’t mind?

I would gladly sell off my offroad wheels for $1k, in a heartbeat.

7.5” is the front differential ring gear. 8.4” is the rear.

See you've got more to disassemble in order to remove your spindles, and as much as that is a reason to weld them on the truck, it's more shit to work around to get to it all for welding, so equally as much a reason to remove them. 4WD prolems - not my prolem. Honestly I'd rather be burdened with the extra work and have 4WD, but I'm no @dirtjumper.

Yeah I know that but I only saw 1 set of gears an he only mentioned the 7.5. If you regear with 4WD, you've gotta do both diff's, no? Maybe he already had his 8.4 x 4.88's and I missed that

I didn't mean to sound like a dick, I don't know either but tryin to figure it out cuz I stripped the nut on my pinion and ordered another one and it's the wrong fkn size. It's a bit confusing. From what I think I understand, is that the 8.4 is also 8" but with 12 ring gear bolts instead of 10 like the called '8"'. Then some are 27 splines and others 29, which is where the nut size changed, I guess IDFK. :frusty:

Gotcha. Anybody know the specs on the pinion nut for a 29 spline 8.4 diff? The 8" is an M20-1.5, for 27 splines.
I know they both take a 30mm socket.

TRD offroad coils I’m after. The regular ones are meh on a taco. But thanks for thinking of me.

I'll hang onto those coils for about a week before they go to the metal recycling place along with my old suspension bits.

You should see some of the stuff I made it up this weekend on 2WD locked. I was surprised. I don’t have video of the heavier stuff, because filming is not a priority when you don’t have a legit crew with you.

I'm good right now (thanks), but to your point, I'll have these Eibach springs on-hand a spares soon, got em for $37. I dunno if I can use them in anything, nor if what they claim to be on this sheet is actually what they are, but obviously all Eibach's sport springs are silver, so maybe? Hope they're stamped w/a part#. The person who bought and subsequently donated them ("Eli") owns or owned a dark blue 2 or 2.5 Gen Tundra at some point. I'm editing their address in Hendersonville and phone for privacy reasons, but wonder if they're a Tundras.com member all the same?
