Pop it off, wipe with an alcohol pad, and then spray 2 light coats with this.

I cannot take credit. It was @Pillslinger in this thread who suggested it https://www.tundras.com/threads/wha...5-gen-tundra-today.713/page-2481#post-2840455 and I tried it on a whim while I had it torn apart. Very simple fix to the glare problem. And I used the same Rustoleum 2X Ultra Cover Matte Clear paint as @Tundra234 . Just spray and dry.

I got model 31S-000-0. two 100 amp posts, four relays each. 30 amps max per relay.

and a Cooper bussman 15303224, this one is 80 amps max for the unit, five relays 30 amps each. Had this one on my subaru for nine years. And the thing is still solid. Good quality. Wired it myself, but now I would just get it pre-wired like I did with the Eaton box.

Why under the seat? Not too familiar with it but I assume it would generate lots of heat no?

Gets it out of the dirt/dust of the engine bay. And from what I’ve seen/heard, heat build up isn’t a problem - there’s plenty of room under there.

Desert Does It makes the mount. @reywcms put one in his awesome build

Truth. No need it for it to be in the elements if it doesn’t need to be.

Always thought that thing needed to be outside of the cab for whatever reason. Perhaps because mostly all I've seen have been externally mounted. Something to consider. I was going to put my weboost unit under the driver's seat.

If I was running air lockers where the thing was running more/while I was driving, then having it in the cab works be a hard no.

Yep. Got that already. Some things don’t need to be run through the switch pro though.

Finally wired my always on power to the back of the bed for my fridge. Went with the Dometic double plug kit, unfortunately the wiring wasn't long enough for the route, so I had to make my own wiring.
Have the dometic 2pin DC screw in plug, and now a bonus always hot DC plug for accessories! Got it to fit with my swing out cases too. Next up, portable solar panels and camping this weekend! :bananadance:

I missed this in your console work the other day. I was busy dreaming about a switch relocation :D. Looks great man. Toyota should have just made them this way in the first place Well, and put that window switch in a better spot.

I completely agree. I purchase the Platinum for the creature comforts but they add more chrome which means I purchase the "low end" black parts to replace those with chrome. The Platinum shifter surround is leather but does not have the "credit card" spot so I had to buy a "low end" one, then add the three switch plate. Relocating the back window switch is a dream. Now the back window can be operated from the passenger seat - like it should be. Kudos to Accessorides for the harness (and extension) - makes it easy.

Installed leather seat covers on the front. Since I was in there, added aftermarket seat heaters. The “leather” needs to shrink up some and lose the wrinkles but in time in will. Will do the rear seats in the coming weeks. Tested a headrest a few weeks ago and that smoothed out (passenger side in pic). Then just need to wire up the seat heaters and I’m all set!

My SEM trim black on the steering wheel turned glossy. Looks like I will respray them and then hit them with the matte clear. Will the matte prevent that? Any pictures of yours?

Same thing happened to mine. Seems that SEM Trim Black isn't for high-touch areas. I also have a couple of spots that flaked off where my ring hits it when I'm turning. I got the AJT part, but it's not perfect, either. Haven't swapped them yet...

That is the SEM charcoal metallic on the cup holder shifter and the trim piece around the shifter. I hit them with the Rustoleum 2X matte clear. They look good but are not glossy. Its been just over a year and only have 1 spot of damage on the cup holder surround but the wife dropped something so I do not blame the paint lol

Gotcha. I think I will redo my steering wheel pieces and matte clear as well. I did the Gloss around the shifter yesterday. No more glare. It even lets the light through the shift letters.

I had mine cerakoted in Tungsten. They show a little dirt/grime but it cleans off really easily.

    Function before sparkle.
Installed a Fumoto valve on the last oil change. And couldn’t resist trying the lower cost Kirkland/Costco oil. The price was right!
