how hard would it be to use something like this to remove the bolt heads or would it even work? are the bolts hardened enough to resist or make it a long tedious task to nullify the attempt?

i would think it would be pretty hard with the oscillating tool, those things don't really cut metal the greatest for one, i would think as soon as you touched it to the bolt head it would make a god awful racket with the vibrations that it makes

one would assume the bolts are hardened, but i highly doubt it, looks like just a standard button head Allen bolt that's about 4 inches long on the back ones, the 2 front are shorter and screw into the frame of the truck

if i was really concerned with it, i would purchase some of the rock dome things that other people put on

got the windows tinted and removed the 4x4 stickers to make room for bed decal when it gets here.
20% ceramic on fronts to match rears and 70 on windshield, $400 and change, instantly noticeable difference in heat rejection, its awesome

I watched as the shop took my bedside decals off and it literally took like 90 seconds with a heat gun.

that is the worst damn sticker ever, i put a couple good scratches in mine, but i was being impatient and wanted it done as it was hot as hell yesterday
im sure heat gun/ blow dryer and taking time would have made it come up just slightly easier

Mine is still technically in production but so far, I’ve obtained/scheduled:

    • Method 305s with custom TRD center caps and 315/70R17 BFG K02s (carry over from my Taco)
    • 40” BD S8 lightbar
    • BD Squadron Pro ditch lights
    • Xpel Stealth PPF wrap
    • “Mystery” roof rack from very reputable company (coming soon. Still being prototyped)
    • Mid-height bed rack from same company
    • R4T rock lights
    • Few minor interior updates including black steering wheel cover badge, “TRD START STOP” push-to-start button (looks better than OEM IMO)
    • Replacement key fobs (red with black screws)
    • Carryover overlanding gear from my taco (MaxTrax, pelicans, rotopax, recovery equipment, camping equipment, bike racks, etc)
Super stoked for this build. :D

(pics of aforementioned parts when they were installed on my taco)

Put Toyo Open Country M/T 35 12.5R18s on the OEM wheels without touching anything besides removing the front mud flaps. I’m waiting on my westcott designs lift kit but I’m liking how it looks at this height now

Finally got some new wheels and tires ! Method 305 +18 , tires : 295/70/18 Yokohama X-ats. My truck is an SR5 premium with the load leveling suspension, non Avs... basically it's the basic suspension with rear air suspension. I've adjusted the air suspension lever in the rear, got about a solid 1.75 out of it. The front tires rub , passenger more soo. I feel if I go get an alignment it won't rub... not sure will have to test it out. I am going to put a rough country 1.75 level. When times right I will update the entiresuspension and keep the air in the back.61E0C0D9-90B1-4038-88F1-7111986081E2.jpg 05F1DB88-8C99-4497-B394-FCC15C742085.jpg 0406B21D-FA08-4078-BA80-01AF73E1D80C.jpg 6BD3B120-2AB1-4430-9B9E-7BE636F889E3.jpg

got them off of eBay from Benini Design Studio, really great seller, he worked with me to get the correct sizing of the decals for the 6.5ft bed, looks like he also sells hood and other stripes and such, the vinyl that its made from is good and thick, really quality in my opinion.
think i might go with the hood one next,

link to the one i got https://www.ebay.com/itm/334410180583

hes got all kinds of different decals

Those are great! I was rocking those mounts as well before I installed the Tonneau cover, then I switched over to the Fox tailgate pad.

They were great to work with. It was so easy in fact that I was suspicious till we got to signing the papers. I would say its the opposite of most experiences I've had with dealers. The parts department didn't seem to eager to try and help me find some parts (the bed step and bracket assembly) so I recommend going somewhere else for that.
