What’s the 3 year residual on the 2022s? As high as the previous gens?

Dealer had a 1794, Smoked Mesquite, 6.5' with the TRD Off Road Package and was asking $8000 over MSRP. Negotiated down to MSRP after hours of back and forth.

I just got a quote 56k out the door for 2022 limited with off-road package. Looking to upgrade from 2016 Tacoma access cab. Good deal? Any room left to negotiate?

Depends on what options are included and the MSRP on the sticker? Price can vary greatly within trims.

Just check the final sticker after options, I wouldn't pay more than that. Haven't heard anyone getting below sticker these days. Note that there's like 7 different TRD Offroad packages from $300-3,000.

Here's the options a loaded SR5 would have at about the same price ($57k) for comparison.

I have a feeling there are more who paid a mark-up than this thread leads on..

My local dealer had a build I really liked coming soon so I went with them. I need a truck sooner than later and the other dealers with a lesser mark-up could not give me a sold date.

In the end I locked in the most loaded possible SR5 TRD OR for 59K. Something like a $1,700 mark-up down from 10K.

Double Cab Limited 4x4 with TRD OR, JBL Audio, Limited Premium, Limited Power & Moonroof... Only add on was All Weather Mats... Sticker was $57224 (pre mid-year price hike)... $250 Doc fee, $15 title fee, $20 registration fee, $1600 10yr/100k Platinum Extended Warranty and 7.25% Sales tax... $63392 before my down payment...

There ARE still dealers out there with integrity, you may just have to look a little harder. At the time I purchased (Mid June) my dealership, Byers Toyota in Delaware OH, was not charging over MSRP, and as you can see, has no BS dealer add-ons to disguise MA... No high pressure sales of warranties and the like in finance either... Quoted me over $3400 for the 10yr/100k Extended Warranty, but price matched another dealer with little to no hesitation... I am not 100% sure the MSRP deal is for out of state buyers, but worth a call...

I have 6+ Toyota dealerships closer to my front door than they are, but well worth the added drive to no get screwed...

Platinum with advanced package (power running boards, AVS, rear bags) and bed liner, and a slightly overpriced warranty. They also had a $299 admin fee or something, but weren't asking over MSRP beyond that. And they also didn't tack on a bunch of garbage like under coating, pinstripe, or "ceramic" coating, so that was nice.
    68k.
Then I had to pay 9.5% sales tax on it a couple months after. That one hurt.

Just picked up my SR5 TRDs from Bowling green. Paid $54K. Upcharged $2500 just for the lunar rock paint. Middle TN is mostly $10k over MSRP

I'm paying MSRP, but they threw in a bunch of port installed accessories I didn't want/need.

Just remember, a sr5 loaded with 10k options is worth less than a limited with the same options at a similar cost. Dealers and blue book offer very little or your options in trade. The bulk of the offer is the price of the model, not the options. I’ve had dealers tell me the options were for you and have no value to us. Professional liars… lol.

oof. Try to negotiate that out for sure. Especially the "paint protection" and the $60 usb port. There is already plenty of connectivity in the truck, and their paint/fabric protection will surely be garbage. What a cash grab.

I tried. These aren't installed by the dealer. They're installed at the port before they ever hit the lot. I think the first thing I'm going to do is take a heat gun to the rear letters. I especially don't like them.

I was #6 on the list for a hybrid 1794, despite putting money down in october or november (can't remember). I got the text that they had an allotment had opened up for one. I guess the first 5 people on the list either passed because it wasn't the TRDOR package, light interior, accessories, or whatever. Ultimately, I jumped on it because it was better than waiting for another one that didn't have all the garbage I didn't want.

Just take a breath and pace yourself and remember you don’t have to have this car. You do have a choice and the decision option to not reward the dealer net work for scummy markup schemes.

I paid $65,258 after a $500 military discount in Kansas for a Platinum 4WD Crewmax in MGM with Advanced Package, power running boards, all weather mats and the spray in bed liner.

Seemed like quite a premium to pay over a 1794/Platinum just to get some 22" wheels and different color leather seats. It didn't seem worth it to me.

Agreed. The lower trims it's a lot easier to justify bumping up a level. I was set on an SR5 until I saw that every one my dealer had allocated had so many options they were 58-59k while they also had a Limited with similar options for only 60.5K.

Platinum CM 5.5' Grey Metallic w/ All-Weather liners: $64,648 ($2094 markup). Was the best I could get in my area without waiting 6+ months. I'm happy with it since it was exactly what I wanted. They tinted the windows (though I'll probably get them redone with ceramic) and have their BS windshield and paint chip protection.

I don't like white interior and I don't want a hybrid. There's not much MPG improvement with the hybrid for me to be ok with losing under seat storage. That and I've been seeing people talk about the back seats being extra toasty with the hybrid.

So the capstone really only adds the 22s and those ugly seats? (That’s what I thought.)
With the advanced package you get most of the advanced driving aids?
