Since I painted part of the front mustache, I had been trying to decide what to do with the grill surround.

Ended up buying the surround for the SR trim, which is gloss black ($76). Swapped it out for the original satin chrome. See before after below.

I will have the satin chrome surround wrapped in lunar rock soon. Will be hard to decide if I should go color-matched or leave the gloss black as I like the latter a lot.

Honestly the satin finish looks better than the gloss black, but the full body matched would look best.

Wouldn’t it be longer lasting finish to get the gloss black paint matched than the satin part wrapped?

The gloss black plastic actually accumulates very obvious scratches over time. I think the wrap may scratch as well, but it will be less visible.

True…I was more thinking have it painted in Lunar rock to matched the rest of the truck and the lower part of the stach.

Finally completed my rack setup: Retrax Pro XR and KB Voodoo Rack, plus Malone Seawing carriers.
I set out wanting a tonneau cover + rack for my kayaks which limited my options. Losing the space to the cannister was the best balance and if push comes to shove, I can set some gear on top of the cannister and secure it to the rack.
This forum was a ton of help in making up my mind.

Very happy with Retrax as a product, no rain intrusion after a couple of 1-2" storms and a run through the car wash.
Also very happy with KB Voodoo. Fast delivery, great communications, and easy instructions.
Didn't have a great experience with Realtruck thanks to made up shipping dates that kept slipping, but now that Retrax is in production others likely won't have the same issue.

I like my predators are lot. Low profile, but they get the job done. They also have better grip than any steps with plastic on them.

My opinion is that you do either all or none. Personally I think color matched (in LR) on upper and lower would look better, but that’s just me.
The more I look, the half black on top makes it appear like a bug shield. (Seriously no offense, I’m not cracking a joke lol).
Do you happen to know if that black type piece is also available for replacing the satin finish for the lower front and rear bumper inserts as well? I have a black limited and am now wondering if that’s a more cost effective option

Yes they do have the lower bumper inserts in black, both for the front and rear.

Installed the Toughskinz tray foam inserts. Works great to keep items from sliding/rattling around in the trays.

Finished my half bedslide today, full extension (10’ 5”) with quick release so I can place it in the truck or remove it in under a minute. Fits perfectly next to my PullKitchen for off roading. And yes my truck is dirty from visiting a ghost town at 10,202’ :D

I've had a roll up from bak and I didn't like the quality. Looks like they redesigned it so it might be a different animal now. For what I need, I think the soft cover works better....lighter, easier to remove if I ever have the need and protects from the elements just as good.

I took my bed rails off tonight, prepping for tonneau install tomorrow hooefully!

Since I was in the bed I installed my Tie downs from Charvonia Designs. They are looking good if I do say so

Got my RC leveling kit installed today with the help of my brother in law.
One thing we discovered that I didn’t see anyone else do is you can do the full install without loosening the lower control arm. Of course, if you don’t have an extra hand like I did that would be impossible.

Also the sway bar really kicked our asses. Not sure why but every step of the way getting it re bolted it just didn’t want to cooperate, but in the end we succeeded. Getting it re aligned Saturday and 35’s put on next week!!
