    I love em. I would say the foam is about a 1/4” thick.

    Westcott 3/1 installed today. The shop (local dealer) removed the front mudflaps, but didn't make any notes on the sheet as to why. It was definitely rubbing before the lift, but I'd expect to not rub those flaps after the collar lift. I may put them back on and try it out... or look for different, thin, mudflaps - I live in Seattle-ish, so there's often wet roads to fling around goop from.

    Now:

    IMG_5508 2.jpg
    IMG_5510.HEIC.jpg

    (scroll up a couple of days for the "new wheels/tires but no lift" view if you want)

    Stock:

    IMG_5473 2.HEIC.jpg

    I'm super happy with the look and feel so far. On the freeway, it's pretty much the same ride as stock - but on bumps (like big speed bumps on pavement, or potholes) it's definitely stiff. This'll do for at least the summer and fall until there are more lift options to replace the collar lift.

    Stock already looked good, but the new tires look great. Nice work!

    Thanks. I was telling my wife that the truck feels like MINE now. And both son and I were thinking that it doesn't look much different pre-lift and post-lift, but when you open the door and go to step in.. it's definitely taller :). I'm recovering from a hernia surgery and no supposed to be lifting much weight, but I've gotta work a bit to climb into the truck now :rofl:

    Ordered the black letters for my 1794. I also ordered the all weather floor mats. The 1794 mats that came with the truck didnt fully cover the carpet and they had an annoying carpet insert in the mat. Looked good, but not functional. 20220521_163321.jpg

    I'm in the passenger seat about halfway through the return leg of a Seattle-Spokane-Seattle day trip up go drop off a treadmill to my mom, and to get my teenaged drivers Ed student some more hours and night driving hours. We'll see a bit over 500 miles today.

    I was rear seat passenger for the first leg. That's pretty comfy back there, except for not being able to recline.

    At freeway speeds and with the lift plus 295/70r18s and early in engine breakin, we are averaging a tad under 16mpg not adjusting for tire size.

    I'll take it.

    WoL....looks pretty good. Regarding the mudflaps, even with them on my truck I still get the mud "rooster tails" going up the sides of my truck. I really don't mind the dirt tails but it would be nice at some point to get something that covers that 3/4" "poke" that I have with the +18s and reduce the kick up of debris.

    My Westcott (black anodized) should get shipped later next week....looking forward to the stance that I will have with the added 2"s or so; though I foresee a 4" kit in the future once the aftermarket develops something for AVS/Air bag systems.

    Truck did a good job with 2 bikes this weekend. Minimal squat, and got us to the trails.

    KTM = 240 LBS
    HONDA = 298 LBS
    RAMP + GEAR = 60 LBS
    TOTAL = 600 LBS

    What dealer in the Seattle area did you go to? They installed the Westcott 3/1 lift for you? If they did, did you just order it and bring it in? What did they charge?

    I had found my own lift (from here on this forum) and took it into Michael's Toyota in Bellevue. Install plus alignment was $1104. The Toyota Garage, aka VogueWorks in Kirkland, will do it for a bit less money. https://www.vogueautowerks.com/

    Got mine done at Michael’s/Toyota Garage also…they actually had Westcott’s there for sale (for the same price as Westcott themselves) when I got mine done.

    I hadn’t heard of voguewerks before though…and they are a bit closer to me so will have to keep them in mind.

    they post on Instagram as @thetoyotagarage, and there seems to be some connection with Michael's Toyota that's not super obvious.

    I slapped on grill vinyl stickers on the lower mustache (black) and the TRD (red) lettering from TVD Vinyl. Tones down the chrome assault just a bit.

    Has anyone installed the tow mirrors after they built the truck, either at the dealer, on their own, or with a private shop?

    A dealer is holding a vehicle for me that has everything I need/want except tow mirrors. I tow large enclosed trailers and really like having those large side mirrors.

    Thanks!

    I adjusted the rear air bag linkage. Raised it up just over an inch. Hope to have the front level installed tomorrow.

    Pretty sure I've read on here that they're almost impossible to source as independent parts right now, though there are guys who got them on their trucks and hate them. I believe all the trucks come pre-wired for them so I wonder if you could find someone interested in swapping with you. Probably not a terribly difficult DIY if the harnesses are already in place for plug and play.

    Hi can you tell me if you like your dash cam that you installed? If so, what type is it or do you recommend another type?

    Changed the oil at ~1594 mi on the odometer.

    Other than it being a righteous pain in the booty to get the original oil filter off - filter cap wrench wouldn't grip, two filter strap wrenches couldn't get a solid grip either, but Channellock pliers did the trick - it was an easy job to drop the air dam and engine plate and drain the old goop.

    The original oil was darker than I expected, so I'm happy it's out.

    I highly recommend that everybody get themselves a teenage boy who wants to be a mechanic. He'll think the whole thing is fantastic.

    Another taco tunes cat plate. Soon I'll have to make the drive up that way and have them put a system in, definitely missing a ton of bass. I have a limited without JBL.
