I haven't known too many people that been able to seamlessly transition from an old floor to a new one like you're saying without a slight difference in heights. Minimal? Yes. I've been in a house that did something like this and they were a good friend so I inquired. It was separated by a threshold and there was I believe he said a 1/16" difference between the two floors different thicknesses because if something similar. He saw the difference when his new floor matched up before the threshold was put down. It wasn't drastic and no one ever tripped, but I felt it (BARELY) and stood back to look at. I was convinced and he confirmed it when asked.
I only say this because if you're kinda anal about stuff and it doesn't match up, I'd hate for you to have wasted time and money on it. About 13/16" higher is pretty noticeable IMO

Not a fan of OSB for sub floor, even under “floating” floors like LVP - it’s lumpy and can cause anomalies or soft spots. And it has a tendency to off-gas formaldehyde that can be obnoxious. Best thing is to use particle board or MDF in the desired thickness to get a flatter surface underneath the planking. Screw it down judiciously and hold 1/8” gaps at your joints for expansion/contraction

Backyard is bare so a process. Layed and stamped concrete. Gonna let it dry and set for a month or so then start getting the covered patio/pergola going

I wouldn't put OSB on a dog house.
that stuff is crap... & it's 50 bucks a sheet around here.
not a fan of particle board or MDF either.. it's just glued saw dust that desinigrates with a low amount of moisture
a better choice would be a/c plywood..
you'll likely have to pull some of the door jambs & casings anyway to get the LVP to lock except your starting run.
remember to leave 1/4" gap at all perimeters on the LVP.

make sure you run a key or a knife across your LVP selection before you buy. some are not very scratch
    resistant.

    good luck with your project

Current hard wood is in the bedrooms, hallway, living, and dining.
    Slate in entryway
Tile in master bath has a transition piece
Tile in hall bath is flush with flooring
kitchen/laundry tile has a transition piece

    New flooring will be:
    carpet in bedrooms
tile in master bath will stay the same
tile in hall bath will be replaced with lvp
lvp in hallway, hall bath, living, entry, dining, kitchen/laundry.

Should be able to get down to the same layer everywhere except the master bath which will transition to carpet so that shouldn't be an issue.

Oh I didn't know. I thought OSB was the bee's knees for subfloor. Guess I'll look into particle board then instead. Thanks

Did a truck/crew pour that or did you hand mix it yourself?

I just got quoted $2,800 for a 12x14 concrete patio extension

But that was just the first guy and I’m still taking bids

Had carpet put in 2 spare bedrooms and ripped up the floor in the storage room, and tomorrow will remove the drywall so I can rewire/insulate and figure out what the lasted owner attempted to cover up where the patch is.

When the wife says I sure wish the big heavy as shit concrete hands were out from under the azaleas (where she wanted them last year) you start thinking how nice people have it living in the weekly motel.

Dig down through 5” of slimy muck/clay/old hay in the chicken run, then laid down hardware cloth and filled it back up with 1-1/2 CY of cedar chips. Between the concrete poured last weekend and the “bathtub floor” of hardware cloth, this should keep rodents from burrowing into the run and should keep things dryer for the birds.

Done. Angle of pic makes it look a little off, not centered. Will have to break out the bleach and hose.

Nothing interesting here. It's too freaking hot outside to get done what I really need to get done. I replaced a water filter for our bar sink/ice machine. The Woder only lasted about a year and a half so I switched to this FrizzLife filter that has cheap filter replacements (you have to replace the whole Woder). It probably didn't last as long as it should because my neighbor kept asking me for "filtered" water.

I also replaced our Nest Doorbell with a Ring Pro 2 doorbell. We have some lady trying to establish herself at our address and, since Google dropped support for their alarm system, I switched over to Ring. This one is pretty cool because it'll pick up on people 30 ft away and tracks their movement. Alexa also will answer the door so when my neighbor comes to ask for filtered water, I can let her answer and then pretend it glitched and that I never got the message. ;)

Oh, I ordered the doorbell and then I ordered a replacement cover to match the house. If you buy one, don't get the replacement cover. After I set it up, it told me it'd email me an offer for a free cover.

I'm confused on this filtered water business with the neighbors.

    Is this code for something?

    How dare you, sir!

It literally means he wanted filtered water. When we moved here, we bought a whole-home water filter. Unfortunately, it's only a 95% home water filter, so I had to install one under the sink for our ice maker. Our neighbor doesn't have filtered water, so he hits me up for 5 gallons every now and again. He's going through dialysis and chemo now so I don't really mind. I just like to bitch.

He's getting his kitchen remodeled. When it's done, I'll probably go over there and put one of these filters under his kitchen sink.
