    A couple more data points.

If you have the amp, here's the amp wiring layout when I compared Yeti's to the EWD, suggesting the rear speakers are on the left-hand connector, and may have their own amp channel:

If you don't have the amp, I think this EWD seems to show the non-amplified trucks had a head unit with two connectors, S6 and S7, where S6 connector was dedicated to the rear speakers: https://tnstatic.net/attachments/upload_2021-11-6_13-33-55-jpg.658473/

And here's a pic of the overall diagram of a non-amplified system showing that dual-harness setup from Yeti's thread: https://tnstatic.net/attachments/upload_2021-11-6_13-27-37-jpg.658468/

Bottom line: If you confirm you have the amp, one of two things is probably your problem.

    A) That left hand connector is damaged or unplugged.
    B) The channel powering that left hand connector is fried.

There's always a possibility that (C) the head unit fader/balance is shorted, or rear channel is fried, but I'm skeptical.

I’d have sent you my alpine double din, it was plug and play, even had Bluetooth module but it actually sold on the action site and the buyer immediately disputed. So oh well. Lesson learned, keep stuff for friends.

I have a pioneer deh-x6600bt, i can use if need be. Or pull the premier hu out of the blazer.

Might have to get snowbob or mr.bridgebuilder to help with an install.

i do know i dont want a screen, and would prefer something with a blackout button that will turn all the lights off, but keep playing.

On V3 of my homebrew seat risers. V2 was a complete no go. Still a touch tall, but nothing I can do about it for now. Not unless I want to have custom fasteners done.

Thats a feature the OEM Toyota 86 radio has, it's nice. Just keeps the 4 buttons and volume knob backlit.

i raised the passenger seat in grandpas tacoma 1.25” in the front and 1.5” in the back for grandma to see over the hood. Sitting in it raised like that, its comfortable on the legs, but i wouldnt be able to see traffic lights. My eyes are level with the top of the windshield.

thats cool to know about the 86 radio. I wonder if it has other features i could use like empty_lord was talking about.

If you were closer, I'd knock it out for you, if you had the HU.

RE: 6x9 Fosgates. The rear AC doors have a baffle holding the rear speaker into the door, it looks like this. Once that's removed, apparently as evidenced by @REESE77 's AC truck here, a 6x9 fits in the opening. I wish Metra made a damn baffle bracket to properly secure a 6x9 in w/o drilling, 6x9s put out a hell of a lot more bass than a 6"-6.5" in my experience. Note the white plastic bits where the factory baffle I linked screw in, and the footprint on his door where that baffle used to be.

good to know. Would it be beneficial to build a properly sized box in the door, or fit one of those foam ?baffle? Basket things?

I dont crank music, so stock has always been fine, but if i have BT (in the HU) i should be able to run my 25w soundbar. (Plan to have an inverter, and maybe a 2nd battery and isolator)

In my (dated) professional experience, these foam baffles are gimmicky bullshit that only serve to dampen sound, and protect your speakers from the elements. But trying to design a proper tuned enclosure that would fit in the door cleanly is also bullshit. Your door is a natural enclosure, though the airspace inside is more akin to what a speaker would have on a baffleboard in a free-air config than anything. But door speakers are designed to operate in tht kind of environment. You can read the airspace specs on most quality drivers. YMMV.

On another side note, the rocks and ripples seem to have given me a bit of extra camber. Its bushings and balljoint time. As much for piece of mind, as a general concern.
Anyone got any 100k mile rockauto part reviews that will confirm my bias? Or should my dog and i live on ramen and natty light for the rest of the year and get the good stuff like solo and camberg and kings?

i also didnt oil my air filter when i did the fluids and filters when i got the truck…probably closer to a 4.8 thanks to panhandle and jamboree dust.

Want to thank @Festerw and @bmf4069 for pointing me in the right direction. They had pointed out that a wheel bearing may be my issue with what I thought could be the tires. I started paying closer attention to the noise and was noticing a patterned humming noise in the cab, louder and most noticible around 30-40 mph. This sound continues in neutral at that speed and I can not replicate it at the same rpms standing still. On top of that the noise gets quieter on slight right hand curves, which was my original post was about. This is sounding more and more like a bad wheel bearing the more i research. Going to get an alignment as well as get the tires balanced and rotated just to make sure and rule out a tire issue.

If it is a bad wheel bearing is it better to get the whole hub assembly or buy the bearings and just have a shop press the old ones out and new ones in? Appreciate the help!

Oh, put your back into the balljoint test. Helps if only 1 side is jacked and you can throw 100 lbs into it. Some people use a prybar against the UCA and tire while feeling for 1/8” of movement.

Since we’re doin fab work, let me run something by y’all. I need a way to mount my spare in the bed. Due to the exhaust setup, and eventually adding hammer hangers w/ cross bar my spare 285 won’t fit back under the truck. Plus this would let me put the camper top off and on as needed.

you think I could mount this to the bed up against the cab? Or should I keep looking. It’ll at least stand the tire up and get me most of my bed space

Tie it to the front bedhook bracket and see how you feel. When i was young and dumb, i left the spare strapped to the front bedside of the f100, out in the elements. The jeep xj and s10 blazer both mount to the side, standing behind the wheel well, and ive put covers over both.

but for prosperity, real badasses keep 2 spares bolted to the passenger side, because its harder to be heroic with a passenger, and if your passenger outweighs you, put them in the driver seat.

If the bearing is just starting to go it may be noisy but won't have any play/physical movement.

You can try spinning the hub (may require cv removal if 4wd) and listening to see if it sounds gritty inside.

When its time to worry about it, you can feel the movement. About 1/8” in any direction. So 1/16” to either side of center.

I'd probably just do the bearings and replace them with Koyo/SKF/Timken.

You could probably get a piece of plate or something to sandwich the bed with(I was thinking at the front of the bed near the cab)
