Has anyone had rubbing issues with 275/70R18's on a 3/1 lift with adjustable UCAs? The shop that did the install had the right front wheel buried into the front bumper, when I took it back to them to double check the alignment all they did was start trimming. Anyone else have issues like this or is this alignment shop the issue?

I have not had any rubbing issues. I have turned the wheel hard in both directions going up my drive way and down while turning the wheel.. Before I bought the tires my passenger side LCA bolts were loose. I was getting some bad clicking sounds when cutting the wheel while parking. I tightened them. The casters moved my arm moved but my steering wheel straightened out and it drives straight on the highway... That might be it maybe have the casters turned so the wheel is farther out.

What gear ratio is ur truck? If you have the 4.10 ratio bigger tires will put more of a strain on ur transmission than if you have the 4.30 ratio and you will see a bigger decrease in mpg. You can always put in new gears to fix that though and get 4.88 or 5.29 depending on how big ur tires are and what you do. After i put 35s on my truck my speedometer is now off by 5miles once i go over 45 mph.

Stock wheels +60 offset or aftermarket wheels with less offset?

Hooked my neighbor up with a Goodyear coupon…here are his LT275/70r18 Duratracs on an otherwise completely stock ‘20 Limited TRD Off Road. He’s had them for a week and no rubbing so far. You can see that he didn’t even have to remove the little mud flaps in front of the front wheels. :headbang:

275/70/18 Nitto RG on stock trd offroad suspension. No modification, no rubbing, no flaps to remove, no speedometer to adjust, just perfect!

Maybe a dumb question but is anyone concerned about the speedometer difference going from factory tires to this tire? Did anyone try to correct the speedometer?

Noticed my trucks onboard speedometer actually reads 1 mph slower than my gps on stock tires already. Strongly considering switching to this tire once my originals need replacing

At 65 your adjusted mph is 67.5 so it's not that far off. If you get OCD about this I am sure there are products on the market to allow you to adjust / calibrate your speedo. I can get really picky about some things but this is not one of them.

    Too many, but not enough....
I plan on going this tire size soon. I noticed that even with factory tires, my speed is a consistent 2 mph slow all the time on the speedometer compared to GPS. With the 275/70s it should be almost perfect without any calibration.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. Already looks to be a little off so bigger tires may actually bring it more in line with the actual speed of the truck

I think the calculator I used shows it will be the closest with this size. Any larger and it would start going the other way. Of course, every truck may be different

    Awesome looking Tundra!

Did you experience any rubbing issues on stock height with 275 70 18? The Methods and Ray 10's have the exact same offset but I'm going with KO2's. I don't want any rubbing and or have to trim or remove anything. Would you recommend 275 65 18 instead? Thanks!

Just installed Ray10’s with 275/70/18 Toyo Open Country AT3’s on a 2018 Limited Off-Road with stock suspension. I was rubbing at full lock in reverse on the front mud flaps, so had to remove them. I still like this size tire over the stock 275/65/18.

Thank you for the info. So you encountered rubbing issues on the front flaps only? Is there a sufficient amount of clearance everywhere else? If that's the case, I may just remove the front flaps.

I did 275/70 and mine rubbed like hell front and rear flaps both. Took a heat gun to the splash guards behind the wheels and was able to get them to barely clear. Had to shim the bumper out to make it stop rubbing. Removing the little aero flaps wasn't enough.

Here are the Ray10s on Cooper XLT's - 275/70/18. 1.75 in Rough Country leveling kit on the front. Rear is stock. Only thing they had to remove was the mud flap in front of the front tire.

Looks great! I’m curious how your ride quality is after the suspension upgrades compared to stock? Better, worse or the same?

They feel similar to the off road package shocks, but better. Handle bumps better, stop the nose dive when braking, handle better. Valving is better than stock, which I think is digressive stock. Great for a daily driver wanting some extra height, easy to live with and a good value performance and cost wise. Certainly un upgrade. Quite happy for what I spent!

Your truck looks great. I have been going back and forth to level or not level my 21. But after seeing yours, Im probably just going to do the same BFG's and leave the suspension as is. By chance do you have any more pics at different angles?
