I just got my truck back from the techs. They said Toyota knows of the issue and that I’m in the system to fix the issue when Toyota come out with one.

but they basically said they’ve localized the spot. At the driver side door where I took the picture. Around the 90 degree angle. She said she isn’t sure if it’s gonna be just the seal or what but when Toyota decides they’ll fix it

I noticed all my doors look like this, I can only hear it from the driver side door though. Honestly it looks like poor fitting or something. I’m going to mention it but as long as they know and are working on a fix I’m good.

It seems like the seal shape isn't designed to fit tight enough to the glass. Like the seals on the truck are meant for a thicker piece of glass or something. I have the noise on my driver's side. Been meaning to try and slide some thin foam behind the seal to help it fit tighter to the glass but haven't had a chance yet.

I took my 22 LTD in to the dealer today, they’re replacing the seal/gasket around the sunroof. I showed them the awkward gaps around the rear windows as well but they didn’t think there was an updated part for that yet so no guarantee that it’d be better until Toyota updates those. Parts are coming in next week.

I've tried putting tape on all the areas suggested and I still haven't nailed it down yet. Mine has similar symptoms of a whistle that starts around 40 mph. Seems to come more from the forward area of the driver side door or mirror. It makes the whistle noise if the window is up or down so I don't think its a window seal but I'm totally lost this point.

Lol this is pretty clever. i would imagine since you're pulling air from outside and blowing it into the cabin, the air will have to escape from somewhere... ive seen where cars and SUVs have relief flaps in the rear quarter panels or bumper area but im not sure if the trucks have them in between the bed or something. curious if you turn on the recirc if it will still blow bubbles.

anyways, i can hear a tiny tiny whistle in my 2022 tundra limited around 80 MPH if i really listen for it and turn the music down. However, this truck is 50 times better than my 2020 tundra when it comes to wind noise and feel. i could feel the air resonating through the floor pan in my old one lol

as much as some people hate them, the low profile rain guards would probably stop the noise...

my old tundra had noise that came from the mirror seams.... you could try taping around the mirror where the mirror pivots or around the seems where the caps meet. also if there are bolt/screw holes on the under side of the mirror, those could also a howling or wind noise.

So I think I'm experiencing the same thing as you, which might be different than what some others are hearing. It seems there are two camps, one that hears hissing, like actual wind noise that gets worse with speed, and others like myself which are hearing a faint but consistent whistle at certain speeds. I only experience the noise from around 35-50 mph. At highway speeds it's dead silent. If I'm going 40mph, I hear what sounds almost like a low pitched teapot. The tone doesn't chance with speed, just the intensity. What is extra strange is this recently started in the last few days. I haven't started to diagnose it yet, but quick things I tried were lowering the windows, removing my tonneau cover (which I recently installed), and popping in neutral while coasting, none of which made a change.

I will complete my one month ownership in a week and I never noticed the wind noise till last week when I was with my parents I turned down the music and heard it so I have been paying attention and about 65mph is when I begin to hear it and I hear it as if its coming from the back. I have an appointment tomorrow at 12:15pm tomorrow for them to check it out but it doesn't really bug me I mostly hear my music, the engine and wind from outside if the currents are strong

Only commenting here to add to the list of people with a drastic noise issue. Mines bad enough that the radio must be turned up quite high to overpower the noise at 60+. Have an appointment next Monday morning due to having the lane centering warning come up saying visit dealer. Since that has happened 3-4 times now decided was time to get an appointment.

While there, they’re going to check the seals and noise, the warning light for land assist/departure, check the very excessive rattling of the right front door panel. Very noticeable and very easy to pinpoint it. Have a passenger in the front seat with their knee slightly applying pressure no rattle.

Also have a very very unusual sound coming from the engine that doesn’t hardly ever happen. Here is link to video (don’t mind the bugs everywhere, just got back from 2900 mile trip and it’s clean now).

UPDATE. So I just got back from the dealership I was told by my service rep that Toyota wants ALL Tundra issues to be contacted about right away, him and the tec did various areas taped and drove on the freeway and got all area's affected (my truck is both rear windows and I don't know what level at toyota they spoke to but pretty much they said either give me my truck tomorrow or they will be sending out a top engineer from the texas plant and are going to use my truck as a Guinea pig. I'm kinda like wtf but they did say that if any issues or damages occur after the new tests after the engineer they will remove the truck off my hands without a fight i don't know if it's the dealer or actually toyota that will all be recorded and talked about tomorrow when toyota contacts the dealer tomorrow but for the inconvenience of this they will wash my truck fill it up and a accessory of $200 or less

My take, Coming from a 17 TRD Pro 4 Runner daily driver to the 22 Tundra.

The only abnormal wind noise is when Mother Nature working her magic and we have high winds. That said, all cars experience some increase level of wind noise when this happens. Also, my other ride has Long Tube headers into full Borla AE Cat-back. So in comparison, what noise with the Tundra.

I have looked closely at all the window seals and aligned they look like crap. It will be noted with Toyota when I bring in for the 5K check

I hear wind noise inside driver side. I tried to locate by moving my hand along the door gasket inside the truck and I feel the door flexing as I'm driving, crazy. Door gasket front pillar by handle all along I could feel the flex.

I've narrowed down where the whistling on mine was coming from. I taped up several seams under the mirror and plugged two holes that look like the are for draining and its gone away. Im going to remove the tape one by one to see when it comes back and ill post an update. I'm just so reluctant to remove it right now because I'm enjoying the silence.

Here's a few pictures of the seals on my truck, build date of 4/7/22.
Haven't brought it to the dealership yet because they have no idea about anything on these trucks yet.
Its painful to even ask them a question

    wow thats really sloppy.

it looks like the arm rest on your door is all deformed or it that just the angle.

I just got a call from a dealer here that has several tundras and Im not real sure I want to jump in yet, QC still seems questionable at best.

The armrest has a slight hump in middle on driver and passenger doors. Had from day one.

ya it doesnt look right, I would have them fix that with all the other stuff as well, looks like the door panel is coming off too right in that spot. Too much of your hard earned money to have sloppy work like that.

    just my .02 though

The front interior panels of mine look the same as yours. Exterior seals are a little bit better fitting tho. Are you having wind noise issues? Mine is fine.

Are you guys suggesting it shouldn't sound like my passenger side window is cracked open anytime I drive on the highway? LOL. First thing the wife noticed when we left the lot. Hoping to get this resolved at the first service but I'm not holding my breath after watching this thread for a bit. It looks like it could get much worse if they mess with it.
