ya i really like the material too. It's a heavy tarp/tent-like fabric. Should hold up pretty well from the weather. I'm in Wisconsin so high-90's to below 0 is the norm depending on time of year. Wasn't sure about it when ordering but like how it looks.

What about cleaning it? I had some tree sap get on the OEM tonneau I had on my Tacoma and it took ages to get it off. Bird crap comes off of aluminum, fiberglass and other hard tonneaus, how about the fabric ones?

If you have those situations where tree sap is gonna be a problem then a fabric tonneau may be tough to clean. Bird crap doesn't matter to me because I'd clean that off like I would the rest of my truck.
There's no perfect tonneau for everyone but for me, I have no sap concerns so it fits my needs well.

Yes it does have similar seal. Here's a pic of it properly seated. I messed with the cover last night and got it to latch but it required shifting the drivers side rail up slightly on tailgate end so it's not flush on top of bed. Not a permanent solution but will do until i can figure out a way to limit the rail flex that stops the latch from actuating prior to cover topping out on tailgate.

I hear you on the the flex at the rear of the cover track. I was super carefull making sure the track was "level". I tinkered with this a little bit making sure the rail clamps were adjusted just right when fixing it to the truck rails. Not a lot of adjustment but got it as close to level as I could eye balling it from the rear of the truck. Did you try moving the last clamp as far back to the rear of the rail to truck to try elimanting some of the flex? I know it throws the spacing off but the realtruck rep said additional clamps can be ordered. I asked this when ordering because I notice it only came with 6 clamps. I didn't have any issues latching my cover but maybe this will help you?

Can you snap a pic of the latching mechanism on the Sentry CT? I have a feeling they are different. It takes a lot of force for me to close the X15 and nothing I have tried works if the tailgate is up. Truxedo is sending me a new cover, should be here tomorrow.

Here you go. The detent slippes below the rail when closed. I also included a pic on the ability to move the clamp back to the rear of the rail to try to help with the "flex". I didn't need to do it for my cover but thought it may help others with the X15 cover? Not sure if the set up is the same?

That looks like it would work much better. That latch looks like it doesn't apply an nearly as much pressure to the rail as the X15 latch. Thank you!

I have a ProX15 on the way. I'm guessing I can plan on having this same issue? That is kind of a bummer.

Are these tonneaus really made for the 2022 beds or are they a carryover from previous years? The BAKFlip covers for the previous years are not being sold for the 2022’s…this year’s tonneaus won’t be available until the end of this month.

my ProX15 had 2022 Tundra on the label outside of box. Fitment to the bed is fine as far as size is concerned

Will be interesting to see how yours closes with tailgate up. It's a nice cover and fits well, just the excessive rail flex when trying to latch with tailgate closed is an issue. Bottom line is i think there needs to be a reinforcement of the end-of-rail on tailgate end so it's rigid when closing cover.
Let us know how your install goes.

So here are 2 pics of how i got the ProX15 cover to close with tailgate up. Basically on the drivers side i raised the rail up high enough to compensate enough for the flex so the latch would catch before cover fully pressed against tailgate. You can see it's much higher than the passenger side pic. Not a solution but a temporary fix until i figure out how to reinforce latch-end of rail to eliminate the flexing.

I chatted online with BAKFlip yesterday and they said they'd be released by the end of the month so it shouldn't be that bad. At least it'll fit (hopefully) when it gets here.

Hopefully it fits. I've heard it's the one Toyota installs at the dealership.

Just installed the Bison Tonneau Cover Backflip style. Ordered April 1 and it arrived on the 5th. (Canadian made about an hour away from where I live). Fit is pretty good overall, sat outside last night in a constant rain and only minor water infiltration - mind you I did not hook up the drain tubes. I did need to remove the tie down cleats and rails to get the side rails to fit nicely.

Not surprisingly, I'm having the exact same issues. The rail is flimsy as hell and flexing down as I try to latch with the gate closed. I shimmed it out so it sits higher, and this seemed to make it better, but it certainly isn't easy to latch. My wife won't be able to shut it, I can tell you that for sure. For $600, I'm not very satisfied. I think I'm going to return it for something that works.

i am going with the Retrax POWERAXPRO XR. RETRAX stated they should be aviable next month. I like the power option and the fact you can install cross bars on top of it and still access the bed. Waiting for my 2022 (will be called 2023) Tunbdra TRD PRO to arrive in a few months

Fingerprints are completely worn off from clicking thru and reading all 301 posts, plus following all the links provided.

Sold my 2009 SR5 5.5' bed, which had an Extang tri-fold on it for 12 years. No complaints, just looking at what's come out since then... I'm leaning toward the BAK Revolver X4S... great looking, secure, and as waterproof as any... and I don't want a tri-fold covering the rear cargo camera. A decent 4 fold below the camera would be an option.

But I saw no one mentioned the low profile tri-fold WeatherTech is putting out for the 2022 Tundra? Looks viable:

Hey @cjdelaney3, when did you order and how many delays did you encounter? Doesn't sound promising.

Placed an order for the MX4 on 4/8 with an estimated delivery date of 4/15-4/20. Still 'pending fulfillment', but will update if/when it arrives.

I ordered on 3/28 and it was pushed twice (don't recall dates and deleted my email) but the last update was something like a 4/21 delivery date. I ended up ordering the Rough Country on 4/9 and it was supposed to ship 4/19 but I got a notification that it shipped today.
