Valhalla’s Shield theft deterrent/skid plates info and ordering post

I would recommend removing it to avoid any noise or rubbing, if any.

 

I left it and wedged a bit of rubber in there to prevent the possibility of the shield vibrating like a big cookie sheet.

 

It is the same plate for all, but I haven’t tested this on a Hybrid, but I would highly doubt it would be different.

The nut plate is not needed for my front skid plate, it is broken up into easier to install pieces that give good access to the nuts on top. That being said, I guess you could use the the nut plate too, up to the customer

 

That's it, guy who works for me had converters stolen off his car; while he was in the gym, during the day(!) here in Philadelphia. I'm ordering both cat shields. Went with the black powdercoat finish. Will come back for skid plate at a later date.

I've been waiting for v3 to be available, but might go ahead and get my order in. Thefts are really picking up around here.

 

I have v1. The differences are miniscule and not worth waiting for, IMO.

 

Order the plates. Figure out what’s moving faster- steel or aluminum, and in which thickness, and press go. Don’t regret waiting and watching your truck get towed away..

I can't think of a more menial/petty thing to kill someone over. Makes a guy think that maybe public hangings are appropriate for some things. Or just locking them in a room with the victim's relatives for half an hour.

 

How do I know if I have the TRD Pro skid plate?
Mine is a 21DC Limited

 

It will have TRD Pro in big red letters on it.

 

^ This if it came with the 2021 truck, maybe not if one added an older one themselves.
It also has an oil filter access door.
It is certainly hard to miss...

 

That is what I did when I ordered.
I PMed Tyler and asked what would be available sooner than later.
At the time he told me 1/8 steel, so I ordered that and him powder coat them.
Although that was a couple of months ago.

 

I also did exactly the same thing, but I skipped the powder coat. In my mind, that was an extra step that I knew I could handle on my own with some spray paint. I can attest to the speed at which Tyler works on our behalf. Fortunately it did not take me months to receive and I have full coverage now.

 

I am done welding for now, I will be shipping orders hopefully all week next week

So steel is going to get out the door quicker than Aluminum over the next few months? If so can I change my order and which thickness is going to be best candidate to get done first?(1/8")?

Also this year I wanting to get a lift + headers & Dirty Deeds exhaust is that gonna be anykind of problem ?

So, previously steel was faster than aluminum, but now I have them the same, powder coat is the only thing that adds time

as long as you aren’t adding too much lift, and your exhaust will be fine

This is the hardware I received with my full plates including engine skid. Doesn't quite seem to match the installation guides and I don't have the square spacers. Is this right?
