Believe it or not, it doesn’t take me that long. I refused to just drop a plate in a box and hope for the best.

Tyler, hang in there my man. I ordered from you for the red powder coat option, as this was not offered from the other dealers out there. Plus, I love supporting non-corporate, local business folks and manufacturers. It took me a year to figure out that I even needed to do this (parents cat was stolen off of their Prius which got my head wheels turning) so if I have to wait a bit longer - so be it. If mine get stolen before I get the plates, I'll just know it will be the last set that will be easy for the thieves. Take that day off as your wife suggested, divorce is way more expensive than any loss of a customer!!! Not worth it. Be well.

I have a happy wife, no divorce in my future, it was my birthday yesterday, I just don’t like telling people that as it isn’t fun anymore.

I appreciate the patience, but I need to get faster

FYI, for those that are interested, I finally had a Tacoma come to me so I can start designing a plate.

Yea, I wish you had one for my son’s Taco. Don’t rally care for the way the one I got is made but at least it serves as a deterrent.,

Who is TTunes? I’ve had my order in since January and still waiting, but I did see another dealer’s plate in the Denton, Texas area (the Eagle guy). I (personally) wasn’t impressed, but he had plenty in stock and readily available. Those who have them seem to be pleased. Maybe it was me, but the plates seemed to be about 6” too short and buying a front plate wasn’t an available option. Maybe others who have them can chime in.
I’m looking forward to receiving my Valhallasshield plates, hopefully soon. Will post piks when I do.
As many shields as Classy63 is selling, it’s likely only a matter of time before we hear the first story of someone trying to get around it like this other competitor’s shield. I’m sure ours is a much better design and, although a deterrent, would take a while (and lots of noise) to get to the cat.

Somewhere in this thread someone did try. They removed several bolts and gave up. (Regular bolts)

There is no guarantee, but I have tried to make the best protection out there. I bet that truck in the picture was 2wd. There is room where the front diff would normally be to get access to the front of the cat pipe on the driver’s side. This is where a front skid plate actually comes in as part of a deterrent.

So, because I have a 2WD TRD Offroad with the PIA stamped steel "skid plate" it prevents the access to the driver's side forward cat? If so, I got lucky on that one.

Unfortunately no, the black factory steel one doesn’t go far enough back

i think plates like yours combined with a good lte dash cam with parking mode would be the best bet. Still no guarantees but would offer 2 layers of protection .

    Hi. A couple of questions:
    - Is the 2022+ Tundra aluminum cat plate the only plate required to protect the cats on the 2022 Tundra?
    - Is the same plate used for the 2022 Tundra Double Cab gas, CrewMax gas and CrewMax hybrid?
    - Is this plate compatible with the factory Toyota front skid plate?

    Thanks.

EDIT: I found the ‘2022 Tundra Development’ thread for the Valhalla plate. I’ll post my questions there.

I too often order things costing a decent amount of money and do zero research from over 100 pages of customers experiences and wait times, or read bold words at the top of websites detailing that I won’t have something instantaneously after ordering it like Amazon does.

I ordered a front and rear 3/16 unpainted aluminum set on March 8th, the same day I took delivery of my 2021 4WD, SR5 TRD double cab after a 5 month delay from the steering rack recall (stop sale). I am willing to wait for a quality product. Do I need to update my order to get bolts to attach the plates when I receive them, or are bolts included?

All the mounting hardware was included with mine. You can also upgrade the hardware to pentagon bolts.

To those that ordered the full set (front skid, front cat and rear cat) did you need the nut plate?

You don't need it, it just make installation a bit easier.

I have the RCI front plate. I’m going to order the nut plate before I service the transmission. It should make the re-install easier. It wasn’t fun getting those front bolts tight.

For the cost of the full set which is what I ordered the nut plate cost is nominal at most to add to it so I went with it myself. Has been stated many times and sounds like it makes a dramatic difference in ease of installation and as just stated above reinstallation for any service needs.

For the rear transfer care skid does it rub with the mini skid on it that comes from the factory? Are most people removing these or just leaving them on?
