Looks good, you have to post more pics when the lift is installed. That truck will look amazing. Nice set up!

Wanted to gauge the room, saw this on youtube this morning. I'll be running 35x12.5 soon, and although I'll be lifting first, more clearance is always a good thing.
The gentleman in the video removed a metal bracket which sits behind the wheel liner at 6:10 mark in the YouTube video. I will probably be doing the same to gain additional clearance, but wanted to see if anyone saw any dangers to the part that he is removing? Could be a good tip if you need more space? He's running 35x12.5 on stock suspension in this video.

    https://youtu.be/pjy_d_Np8iU?t=368

Apparently this piece is held on by just 2 - 12mm bolts behind the wheel liner, no cutting is what he stated.

Just got back from Discount Tire. The pictures show the before and after of the profile of the truck. Rims are Fuel Vectors +19, Cooper AT3 XLTs (295/70R18). ZERO rubbing on the front fender wells. Will still pin back the ballistic cloth in the wheel wells so that they are not shredded by road debris. Love the new stance of the truck and how it all turned out. The truck definitely feels a little sluggish, but I have only 403 miles on the ODO.

Yes, stock suspension. Non-TRD package....will probably get the Westcott kit later in the summer once some more feedback is available for the air suspension set up (what I have in the rear)

Obviously I have the original tires and wheels available for sale. SR5, 18" rims wearing 265/70R18. Can't post on the For Sale portion because I haven't been a member for more than 30 day....admins? DM me if anyone is interested in a local pick up in the Puget Sound Area.

So until other options are available here is a 2nd gen spacer and fuel shok wheels 18” with +20 offset and nitto terra grapplers 295/70/18. No rubbing even with mud flaps at full lock forward and reverse. I can confirm stock 18” setup on a SR5 OR weighs 69.5 lbs. This setup weighs 80lbs. Height is 1/4 “ higher in rear.

Thank you Sir, that is part of our "dream house". It was kinda funny having the DT installers mount the 275 tire on rim first and then the 295s....then one set on each front wheel. Full left and right lock...stand back, assess, tape measures/gap feelers, gather the entire DT crew around the truck. In the end I landed on the 295s mainly because I am going to do a small lift (Westcott or otherwise) and I would kick myself for not having the larger tires in the end. 275s seemed to look better in the wheel well...but the 295s give me just enough of the height I was looking for.

It sits perfect in my opinion. Even at stock height, with the length of the crewmax and 6.5 bed this looks proportionate just bad@ss. That sounded like a really fun time in the garage at DT lol

Is the back of the truck sitting lower than the front? Could be the pic but it looks like you have a bit of a squat going on.

The "before" picture, I would agree with you that it seemed to squat in the rear....the "after" pic it seems to be completely leveled out. I cannot explain it and I didn't take measurements before to have a basis of comparison. And I didn't touch the air suspension toggle....

I will humbly take the bad@ss comment :).

To each his own. I'm offroad every week in my 4Runner, and I've never used the locker, or any of the other traction nannies, for that matter. To top it off, on the 4Runner, the locker detracts about 400 lbs from its max payload. That's a lot when you don't have much to start with. I will not be getting the TRD OR package on my Tundra. When I choose to upgrade the suspension, I'll do it myself as I did on my first Tundra. If I really feel the need for a locker, there's always the option of adding an air locker down the road. But for the type of offroad driving I do, I don't think it's necessary.

Sluggish? What is the weight difference? How does the ride compare to the stock skinnys? Looks really good.

I myself will not remove that piece from behind the liner. From what I have read/understand, it is for crash protection. It is supposed to help with not allowing the front wheel in a front impact make it's way into the cab (I could be wrong). Although I don't plan to crash my truck at any point, I'm not taking chances with removing parts that are meant to be there, but that's just me I guess. My Westcott lift goes in Saturday along with wheels/tires, so here's to hoping I get no rubbing!

I didn't weigh the tire and rim combos separately, it is a "seat of the pants" thing. Mind you I am still babying this truck for break-in. Stock tires the ride was very light and a little skid-ish, these Coopers make the truck ride "planted" a little heavy, but the truck doesn't wander. Heck there is an additional 1"+ of tire patch on the road

Is that part removed not a safety device...so the tire does not come through and into the cab???

Could be.. but not sure. The fact that it bolts off so easily makes me wonder.. however will probably not touch it just in case.

if it's rather thin just held on by a couple screws vs welded on, I don't think it'll make a big difference during a crash whether it's there or not

Yes I saw that also on Tim’s “Pickup Truck and SUV talk” show…the one he did at the Rough Country facility.

…again like everyone said we don’t know if it’s true or not (none of us got it from Toyota) but I don’t plan on removing it either…and don’t need to since I got a lift.

Well…I finally got my new wheels in and on the truck (Black Rhino Rapids in Gunmettal)
    18X9 +12 offset

The guys at Les Schwab mounted my 295/70/18 Atturo Trailblade XT on them and this is the new look with the Westcott 3/1 level.
I plan on keeping my mudflaps, though I have a very slight rub on the lower inside of the flap at full lock.

I plan to either do a slight trim to that part of the flap (file down or cutaway some of the thickness) or see if I can pull it back and secure it with something like zip tie/bolt or otherwise (haven’t fully figured it out as yet).

It’s been a long road and WAY too much time looking and relooking as I couldn’t get multiple other wheels I wanted but very pleased with what I ended up with.

I must also say thanks to all of you who provided input and suggestions and many of you who are still in the process…hang in there

Thanks…I am always cautious of that as sometimes bystanders can get the wrong idea…luckily it was pretty empty of people for the most part

2022 Tundra SR5 TRD Off Road
Waiting for the new FN BFDs to come out. Expecting a +20 to +22 offset. Thinking of putting some 275/70R18s on them to be slightly more aggressive without messing the speedometer up too much.
