So, the total cost for the step that should have been standard on all models?

About $112 for the bracket.. and another $250 for the actual step.. so ~$360 for the oem step.. chances are aftermarket will have some options available in a few months or so.. but i load my bikes on and off constantly and wanted a quick solution.

I usually don't add a lot, here is about as far as it goes for me, window tint, tonneau, and bed slide.

Looks sharp ! ...did you have to drill new holes to fit bedslide ? ..or did it use factory bed bolts already there?

You need to drill four 1/2 inch holes and then use Riv nuts. I messed up and had to re-do the middle two :frusty:.....so, 6 for me LOL...oops. If you plan on installing one, I learned the hard way that the frame needs to sit about 2 inches or so from the cab end in order to place the Riv nut through the middle of the bed support underneath. This is where I messed up, I drilled the middle two holes then realized the front two holes weren't going to clear the support.

The Bed Slide is worth every penny! I had a CargoGlide in my last two trucks and decided to try a different brand this go around.

Are the factory bed rails considered “with cargo management/deck rail system”?

Yes. Super easy install and first time I have done one. Instructions are very good. Realtrucks.com and they will discount, just need to ask. I think I paid $945 before taxes.
What I really like is it rolls up very easy and doesn't block your rear view.

Those look amazing — especially with the lids. Was just thinking: I need lids.
How would these not rattle though?

Once we get to production, everything will be a lot tighter. It is just tack welded right now. Plus once they are powder coated, and the locks are adjusted along with adding felt to the underside of the lids, even if they do move a bit, you won't hear it.

I have the sr it did not come with fog lights. How hard is it to add them? Would also like to add the USB ports for the kids in the back. Possibly bed lights to if possible. Was wondering if the wire harness is ready for these? Has anyone added any of these?

Anyone use any type of storage bins that go over the wheel wells in the bed? I have a bed slide so the flip out kind isn't an option, and quite overpriced in my opinion.

I was looking at those swing cases. They looked neat but are limited to weight of stored items. I like that you can remove them in a snap.

Running boards maybe.. but i havent seen a bed step from them. I see universal hitch style bed steps.. but nothing that tucks away for the '22 Tundra.

I got real close to ordering one but backed off after reading reviews. I like the looks of it but concerned about shipping damage, paint process, paint match, but most of all, rubbing. Did you experience any paint rub off on your Tacoma?

With the Tacoma I had the Undercover Lux

    https://undercoverinfo.com/undercover-lux

i had zero problems from installation, zero water leakage, zero rubbing, etc… it was super easy to take off to haul shit and then put back on. My wife (pregnant at the time) helped me install it to give you an idea of how light and simple it is.

Specifically to the rubbing issues some may have had….it’s likely they didn’t install it properly. You have to line it up, set the mounts, etc… but taking my time i had a perfect gap around the whole bed.

*edit* I purchased the Tacoma cover off eBay. The tundra I ordered from summit. Any issues with finish they said they would take care of. Let’s hope for none but Summit’s a pretty big outfit and I assume they would handle whether via replacement or touch up & cash back. If not, credit card charge back for whatever % it’s worth to you. Right now free shipping and 10% off, plus 12 month financing through PayPal credit.

That's still really expensive, considering what it is....at least to me. Nevertheless, I can't use that style because I have a Bed Slide. Thanks for the suggestion though.

On Facebook and some other pop up adds for truck accessories, I see a pictures of a one piece bin that covers both sides and over the wheel well. It looks like it would be perfect, but I can never find that actual item when I search the associated links. I'll screen shot it next time I see it.

They had OEM ones for the Tacoma. Not sure if they’ll make them for the tundra: https://parts.elmhursttoyota.com/oe...e-toyota-tacoma-in-bed-storage-box-pt271350sb
