Did you try anything discussed in this thread? Gonna need more info on how exactly your issue is playing out, what apps, what phone, when it's happening, any other audio dropping, etc.

So far I’ve tried everything, unfortunately no joy. I’m under manufacturer warranty, so I took the truck to the dealer and they are going to replace the radio for starters. Could be 1-2 weeks from today (shipping time). As soon as that is completed, I’ll update if it was fixed.

Currently sitting at the dealership awaiting their suggestion of replacing the radio as a fix action. I suggested the amplifier due to just the thought of signal sent from radio goes to an amplifier and the amplifier is not amplifying the sound to the speakers (which seems to be the issue in my mind). But hell I’ll let em replace all they want to get it fixed.

Once they finish, I’ll update again.

    UPDATE**
So we ended up not replacing the head unit because we found this is not the issue. Upon removing one of the tweeters from the door it turns out it is aftermarket along with separate wiring. Looking through the driver door the original 6x9 JBL was also replaced telling me that there was an aftermarket amplifier installed and removed via the previous owner. With that said, I will be taking the truck apart this weekend to see if I can’t wire everything to the factory amplifier and see if it fixes my overall problem.

If I can find where all the wiring is running to and how everything is currently setup, I might benefit from just purchasing an aftermarket amp and hooking everything up to it.
Fortunately, I was able to track down information on the previous owner and will be reaching out to see if the factory parts are available to retrieve… swap for swap If possible. More to come on this whole thing.

I’ll also be contacting the dealership I purchased from to see if they can make it right because I purchased the vehicle thinking it was the original JBL system and not a modified system.

Well that definitely sucks. Has the sound always been low? Or is your issue intermittent? Speaker swaps are definitely not one for one in these trucks, as they're all different impedance to end up with a 4 ohm load per channel. I don't know what the JBL specs are, but on my SR5 non-JBL, the door woofers were 2 ohm to the factory amp (with low pass filter, btw), dash corners were 6 ohm, and the center was a dual voice coil 8 ohm. I believe the rear speakers followed a similar load, but don't remember off the top of my head - I just know the door tweeters were run from the HU, not the amp.

Easiest route would be getting OEM speakers, but those suck, so if you are out any coin, just put it into an aftermarket setup.

So this is left behind, JL crossover with JL door speaker and tweeter. There is evidence of an amp swap from the copper shavings left from stripping cable near the factory amplifier.. seems these were ran along the factory wiring so this is probably why there is hardly any sound if they’re currently running off the stock JBL amp. looks like I can just get the aftermarket amp that would coincide with these and run it. I’d honestly prefer having it stock and upgrading myself but I might be able to work from this…

Those at least look like nice components. Getting an amp and correct line out converter in place should help.

    UPDATE*

So I reached out to ********* and asked if they had any JBL stock speakers left over, they had the door speakers, but not the tweeters. Installed and my factory audio is halfway back to stock. Only thing I’m missing is the stock JBL door tweeters in order to get the 4 ohm tweets out of the system..

Has anyone removed the JBL door tweeters and maybe have them still laying around? If so would I be able to acquire or purchase them from anyone?

    Thanks in advance!

Once you get to 50 posts, you can make a WTB ad in the marketplace. Also check the pay it forward thread, as guys tend to dump the stock systems on there from time to time: https://www.tundras.com/threads/pay-it-forward-free-goodies.4727/
