Has anyone found a part number for a mechanical (not electric) bed step?

This bed is so dang high I could really use it, TIA

For those of you who know suspension…is this a good buy?

I don’t know much about ProComp but like my previous 2015 Bilsteins it lifts the truck using the new hardware in front and allow full suspension travel.

So is the $2K (less the control arms) a good investment?

5 days from order to my door. That’s great service especially these days. Long list of honey do’s around here so it’ll probably be this weekend before I plug it in.

It seems like a lot of money for a very basic lift. I'll be waiting for something a little better (and probably better priced) to come out.

I've never used ProComp's stuff but they have been in the game a loooong time so I'm sure its good stuff. Especially considering there isn't much available right now. If you were wanting a better than stock setup right away I think this would be the way to go! Plus the fronts are adjustable so you could probably get 3-3.5" with adjusting the preload collars.

If I had the cash floating around I'd jump all over the kit with the UCA's.

I ordered some Rally Armor mud flaps to try out. They are the longer universal fit ones. I like the way these look on the Raptors so hopefully they compliment the new Tundra the same way. My only concern is the way the back of the rear fender liner isn't square with the body so the flap will sit crooked. I'll have to play around with this but will post pics once they show up and I get them installed. If they turn out nice I'll upgrade to the UR version.

Pro Comp just responded to my meassage about their UCA's. You can get them through 4 Wheel Parts (just the UCA's), part # is EXP57023B.

4WP owns Pro comp. I had a 6inch lift on my 2.5 gen. It was okay but it was the basic bracket lift and it used the stock struts with spacers. I eventually ended up replacing to struts to get rid of the spacers and it drove a lot better. I had their wheels too. Not bad but I purchased it that way and I’d prefer to go a bit different this time around. I may just wait for the TRD lift. Still undecided but got time.

Ya they kind of seem in the realm of Tuff Country and Rough Country. More of a low budget component company rather than a performance company like say Icon, Fox or Bilstein. Hopefully Dobinsons gets there struts and shocks out sooner rather than later! The SR5 stock shocks seem awfully bouncy, to me anyway. Would be nice to upgrade those to something more slow and stout.

You won’t regret it. It’s absolutely night and day. Make sure you fill up with at least 91 octane

When I purchased it last week it made me ship it to a local dealership.. wouldn't allow shipping direct to my home address for some reason. However, I just got the call today from my dealership that the part arrived. Super fast! So I'll be picking it up this weekend and will update if it is indeed the correct part.

I am too, but the price looks suspect. I think I remember that a bed “brace” was available on the last gen that hep keep the bed square at the tailgate. I suspect that is what this part is. Fingers crossed though for the original poster and all of us that want this bed step…cheaper than I’ve ever seen.

That's what made me wonder. The price is too good to be true. I'm rooting for it to be legit though.

Agreed.. price does make me question.. maybe it is just a bracket.. either way I'll be sure to update.

I just received my bed step today. It is PTS30-34000-ST. Just a kick down like the last gen of Tundras.

Nice! Shoot maybe i ordered just a bracket then.. since our part numbers match other than the last 2 letter. 'BK' vs your 'ST' Which would make sence for "step" price point also looks right around $250 on sparks parts.

I am just a little concerned because if I recall the bed step for my '18 included some bracing, and was a pain in the ass to install. This is just the bed step and two bolts. Seems like there should be more to this. Possibly I need the bracket lol. I am really curious to see what you end up with.

How a bed step was not standard on all 22 Tundras is baffling. First they redesign the bumper to eliminate the only place you could step, second they provide not an inch of real estate to put a toe.

Hey all. First time posting so hopefully I uploaded this picture correctly.

There's two pieces to the bedstep.

There's the bracket in this picture that bolts to the bumper. The bedstep then attaches to the bracket via 2 bolts.

My guess is this is the part you are getting. You would think Toyota would explain things better.

Thanks! Pretty certain this is what I'm getting. Have you installed it yet? Did it bolt up to the frame okay? I went ahead and also purchased the actual bedstep online with the part number given to me by @TexasCabledawg since I'm pretty sure I'll be needing that also to finish the bed step.

So it sounds like you'll need both parts for the bedstep.

Looks like were on to something here. I crawled under the truck last night, and there is not a place to mount it. The bracket in the photo looks like it is needed. Now I will be ordering that. I am going to have a somebody bring up the installation guide on TIS today to verify what is going on.
