First off, good looking truck. I’ve enjoyed the look of my Battle Born Wheels and I’m so glad I found them, especially for the price. As far as the speedometer, I fully agree and it’s strange. It’s usually not until the mid 70’s mph range that my GPS to speedo is off by 4mph. Otherwise it matches or I’m off by 2. I’m just glad I’m not the only one, because I thought it was strange.

RJ, did you ever put on that leveling kit? Couldn’t seem to find an update with pics.
Definitely post em if you did!

I think I’m rolling with you tire size so interested to see that finished look.
Also, what are your tires, MT?

Good ol torn meniscus, but it’s been taken care of. Thanks for asking.

I feel like I keep waiting until tomorrow and it’s always something. The goal is to beat KroppDuster’s time and do it in an hour and a half LOL.

I was looking at this wheel on the website and there is two different options for the 18x9. Not exactly sure what it means. Which one d is you guys go with? FAE84F38-41B8-4D98-B035-DF34E25B4B24.jpg

The difference is the offset (i.e how are the wheel will poke out from the side/fender of your ride.

To have minimal poke most guys are going with the second option in your screenshot (18x9 | 6x5.5 | 18/5.75) which is what @RevereOverland above utilized.

if you chose the other one you will have wheel poke on the order of about 2-2.5” outside of your fender. It’s not the end of the world if that’s your choice mind you (some folks on here have that 0 offset) but you will have much more mud/rocks/etc kicked up from your tires onto your truck body and onto anyone traveling behind you.

Here is a graphic to get a quick crash course on offset by the way…
Those have 0 offset and +18 offset (that’s what the numbers mean)

18x9 +18 is most common for our truck, but the 0 offset will stick further out if that’s your style.

This is my truck in a 18x9 with a 275/70

There are lots of other guys with different setups that you could explore. The more negative the offset the further the wheel sticks out. When you compare different widths that’s when backspacing kicks in.

Everyone else has answered this better than I could! In my opinion, the +18 offset is the way to go.

I think the range between +10 to +18 in negligible [<3/8" difference] and anything within or around that will look similar and spot on.

For those looking for a 295/70r18 that’s fairly lightweight, check out dick cepek trail country exp. Their around 61 lbs. 34.5 x 12. Their owned by copper and have good reviews. Mastercraft cxt is also owned by cooper with similar specs and weight.

So, I tore down the front right had it all ready to start putting back together, when!!! I figured out the spacer kit I got doesn’t work. The bolt bolts are a hair off!!! So a big failure and back to the drawing board.

What 2.5 Gen kit did y’all get that worked?

What a freakin’ bummer man! That’s gotta be frustrating. I haven’t heard of that issue with any of the 2.5 GEN kits yet. The only major I’ve heard from some folks who buy a 25 GEN is the bottom ID not being beveled to allow for the spacer to seat flush enough on the top hat.

Check out the kit on Amazon that I used: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0796QDVBG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

It worked out great. It’s the same kit that Driven Companion installed on his 22 Tundra on his YouTube channel. Link to his video: https://youtu.be/vrI7CwOsPy8

It’s all good it happens and it was barley off. I tried just the spacer in all four directions to make sure it wasn’t user error and it wasn’t. I’ll get yours ordered, install it and reschedule my alignment for late Monday or Tuesday morning.

After 6 days of driving with the 285/75R18 Duratracs I am averaging 16.3 mpg. Way better than the 12.1 I was getting with my 21' CM with 295/70's.

Lol. I've been babying mine trying to keep the mileage up. And my commute is majority highway which I drive in ECO mode. I'm sure once I get more comfortable with the truck I'll be more gas happy and it will drop. Just nice to know you can still keep decent mpg's with the bigger tires if you are conscious.

Picking up the truck early next week. Next Friday I'm getting it into the shop. They are putting a Rough Country Lift w/Mickey Thompson Baja Legend EXP 295/60/20. Is anyone running Mickey Thompson's? Thoughts?
