WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR 3RD GEN TUNDRA TODAY?

The 18” version the 316 are actually 28lbs (27.9 if you want to be precise).

the 17” versions are 21.7 and 24.5 depending on width and offset (17x8 +25 and 17x8.5 0)


I only know because I am also looking at these specific methods but the 17’s which I would prefer are on back order until April.

I've been using a similarly placed camera for years as well. You articulate the reasons why very well. I wish I had one mounted to the rear, but haven't done that yet.

 

Same, pissed I didn't pull the trigger when they were in stock a month ago. Got the "back in stock email" wednesday while boarding a flight- only 2 had come into stock!

 

Got the red TVD dash letters in and debadged all the chrome emblems. Love trucks without all the badges everywhere.

 

I also got some vintage Toyota stripes on the grille. I love how they contrast with the black.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I have a '22 with the Predator steps and the rockers have covers that are plastic... I don't think you'd have to worry about corrosion since any material would be between the steps and the plastic cover on the rockers...

 

yeah, under headliner then on the outer part of the pillar under the weather strip. then run under glove compartment and hidden up to the usb next to climate control. clean.

 

dashcams help when someone tries to claim something wasn't their fault. like cutting me off or brake checking that causes a wreck. nothing speaks louder than a video in these cases.

because 0.2 x 0.7 makes 14% tint (which would be darker than the rear's 20% VLT)

Theyre actually a bit more than that. My 17x8.5 +0s 316s weighed 26lbs on the scale.

 

Oh ok…do you have them on your/a 22’ Tundra?

…I am inquiring to see how they fit given that there are reports that not all 17’s are clearing the caliper.

was hoping to see/hear of someone with them on so I can feel better that they fit.

 

So I have a set of icon alloy rebounds size 17 inch on back order. I confirmed with custom offset two days ago and they confirmed with the manufacturer that they will fit I will post when I receive them.

 

I’m looking forward to getting my truck, so I ordered the TVD vinyl decals for the TRD grill, in red & the Tundra decals for the tailgate, in metallic black. I have a Pearl White coming, so I think the metallic black will look sharp!

And I ordered the bed cleats from Charvonia designs as well. Starting with getting some small stuff ready to go for when it gets here

 

That looks killer. I'm doing the same wheel/tire setup (albeit with 35's) as soon as the lift shows up. Nice looking truck, congrats

Your truck looks matte grey which looks amazing.

 

The O offset weights more than the higher offset by a good bit- right there on methods site

 

Got some 35’s on some new 17” wheels this past week. RC 1.75” spacer should be here tomorrow and will go on until we have some proper suspension options.

Working in the coming weeks to get some sliders and skids test fit to bring them to the market.

Looks awesome! Do you have a complete side shot, no angle. Trying to get a better feel for how 35s looks on stock suspension. I plan on just doing a front level for now.

What offset are you running?

 

Email direct from Method stated they weigh 24lbs, their site shows 24.7 for the 0 offset part number. The +25 is listed as 24.1, the fact its an 8" wheel, not the +25 offset makes it lighter . So, .6lbs for that extra 1/2". Both values were less than the actual weight of mine. To be exact, my scale show 26.4lbs for the MR316.

So, while I and everyone else been waiting on prices I’ve be in good moods and bad moods. Toyota dropped the ball on coming out, than on website for prices and models. I said good buy to my 2020 TRD Tundy with every ops you can get before step to Pro model. This msrp at $52,114.

now 2 years later my truck only 18k seen values and I’m like shit. Let trade up so I waited until I finally built one on Toyota. I put everything I had in my 2020 and put in 2022, I could add exhaust and I believe at the time I was building the a security safe basically 1500 I was missing. 63k I shut IPad off and said f Toyota I’m going to bar, can’t afford it but still waiting for the Pro. In meantime I heard about tundra capstone. What the hell is that. And I seen on Toyota but basically said squat.

Finally today I built a pro and a capstone. Here’s my results:

Here my conclusion:
You want me to spent 20-30K more in 2 years for new design on the tundra? Nope, what bank does 10-15 year 0% loans? Payment is like 1200 month. Maybe more.

Not diesel, and still only gets 19mpg. Shit I got that in my 2020 tundra. I had 05 ram with cums 5.9 pushing 25-26mpgs grant put fastback system on. As much as I would love to buy one just can’t afford it. And it pisses me off because I bust my fucking ass for what I have. Family man, 2kids, wife, dogs, house. American fucking dream.

bought this taco 2months ago. 22 new color blue crush it’s ok. Only reason I got it, I’m saving $160month and lease it 36month, plus cut 3yrs off payment. With prices on The Who the fuck knows list maybe I have a chance to afford gas maybe that 2 extra beers. But I need to drive new tundra see how it actually handles.
