Got this from a FB comment of all the current 2022 issues. It's a good reference point and check off list when buying the 2023.

"Perimeter cameras falling off the mirrors or freezing up when it’s cold
Trucks stalling and shutting off in the middle of the road
Trim curling and peeling up off of the doors of top trim levels like Platinums
    Brake sensor failure
    Turbo actuator failures
Improper window trim leaving a gap causing a nasty wind noise
Rear bumpers install crooked and off to one side
Plastic trim around the front door locks hanging lock mechanism
Steering wheel buttons not functioning for some
Fuel sending units failing or giving out inaccurate readings"

I must have a lemon because it has none of these issues.

I have Android Auto issues that are really annoying.
I have gone into low power mode 3 times, but never had a check engine light.
Wind noise from drivers door near the mirror.

Hard to believe you don't have the window trim gap/issue.

Reading all the negative posts makes me question whether I should back out of my 3/14 build. Then I see a post like this, laugh, and remember how much I enjoyed the test drive.

I picked up mine tonight. It has the obnoxious wind noise also. Not a total bummer but annoying for sure. All seals seem to be installed correctly?

    My car has no issues…

Actually had a few connectivity issues until I called Toyota and opted out of all data collection and services. It got rid of the profiles menu, and shows this now in the personal information area (see picture below).

After this, all the connectivity issues disappeared. My iPhone CarPlay now connects seamlessly each and every time wirelessly when I start the car. It seems the issue may be the Toyota phone app and the over the air connectivity services.

Can you all check to see if you have this issue? It appears Toyota got a ton of seals not cut to spec and decided to install it anyway.

You're right about that one. The gap is probably there. I dont think its a defect though since they all seem to have it. My truck is nice and quiet and dry and no seals are popping off. I have no window trim issues as far as I'm concerned.

I remember reading a few people had their speedometer off a few mph's. I can add myself to this list. Mine reads 2-3 mph higher than actual speed (confirmed with multiple apps).

Yes, it will not work any more since you will be severing all connections from Toyota to your car. I just did not want them to collect any data or be connected to my car.

Not sure if some of the trims have remote start with the truck’s remote. That part should not be affected.

You have to remember, unhappy people are much more likely to post a review or comment than someone where everything is perfect. I fall into this category as well. There is a good chance I wouldn't have even found this forum if I didn't have an issue with my new truck. I'd love to know the ratio, like 100 happy consumers per complaint or whatever it is.

I thought they all had remote start via keyfob? Press lock, lock, and hold lock button.

the app data from satellites will be off depending which satellite they use. Your phone connects to one satellite at a time. You need a dedicated unit such as a RaceBox or a good radar detector, which connect to several satellites at once to get accurate data.

I tried estimating my speed your way by using my phone and various apps after I put bigger tires. I noticed the phone apps can vary 2-5mph from the actual speed depending on where you are.

Ok, picked up my Platinum today after it was in the shop almost 5 weeks! During the walk around, I noticed 3-6 bumps on each of the black wheel well trim pieces. They caught the light like door dings but actually protruded outward. Toyota will be replacing all four I'm told. We couldn't determine the cause, possibly from the fasteners.

My other issue was the infamous window seal problem. The passenger side rear seal sticks out on the end and will not snap into place. The driver's side rear seal has a large gap where the ends meet. They will be replacing these as well. The quality control from Toyota is really lacking on this series.

I am 3 weeks in, 500miles with my Plat and the my rear window seals are short as others have mentioned. Another issue that just surfaced was my digital fuel gauge showed 1/2 tank Wednesday night and a full tank Thursday morning miraculously. Headed over to the gas station and put 11 gallons in and have driven 60 miles since and still shows full on the fuel. The miles to empty readout when down to 370 and now back up to 405.. I called Toyota to log the issue and my dealer to make them aware. Service advised me to drive it for a week or two to see what happens while they investigate. This is a bit annoying, however I'm confident these issues will be resolved. Overall I love this truck!

The problem with the wind noise is I have seen 4 different “reasons.” I’d say 70% of the complaints are the drivers side seal.

But TRD John is on the rear passenger door, I’ve seen the rear driver door and I’ve seen the drivers side mirror as the issue.

Is anyone having any leaking from a car wash, etc due to the weather seal issues? Particularly the issues in the front causing wind noise. As stated in my post above, I have the rear window issue, but don't see that causing a leak issue. I wish I could hear the wind noise complaint first hand; I know many people are more particular/sensitive about these things than I am. Seeing how I have the same visible issues as others with the rear window, it makes me wonder, do I have a wind noise issue and don't notice, lol.

Kind of a pain to have these issues but thank god for the early adopters to work out the small things.
In the end, honestly, this list doesn't look much different than any of the other threads and problems on the 1,2,2.5 gen boards, except of course the turbo.

    -Tss/Pre-collision alerts
-BSM sensor issues in cold weather
    -Steering rack recall
    -Airbag recall-
    -CamTower leaks
    -ABS problems
    -Dashboard showing foam, quality control
    -Window actuators
    -Moonroof issues
    -Windshield wind noise, sealant uneven
    -Transmission surging
    -Fuel pump
    -Stock battery early failure

I’ve only seen 1 or 2 water leak complaints. Never followed them to see origination or resolution.
