Largest tire you can run stock for all generations

Maybe someone here may know, Will 275/55/20 fit stock 2020 SR5 with no rubbing?

I have 285/55R20 on my stock 2017 SR5 Tundra. All part of the Southeast region TSS package wheels. So the 275/55R20 should not be an issue. Also, the first post says that 270/60R20 is the max for stock, so you should be good to go.

I have a 2020 SR5 Crewmax with the TRD Sport package. Can I fit 22x12's with low profile tires without having to modify the suspension? If so, what tire size can I go with to avoid rubbing? Mud guard have already been removed.

No go on my truck. Ended up removing the front air deflector and will need to get the leveling kit installed ASAP. I'm shocked how little room there is to go up in size. I did 34x12.00 on my Ram 1500. Oh well these will be ok!

 

Factory +60 offset and you'd probably be fine. I think its the +18 causing the issue.

 

It is the offset of the rims. I run 275/70s no lift on stock wheels +60 offset. You can actually fit 285/70 or 295/70 on stock wheels, no lift.

 

easy fix if you trim the extra plastic from your flaps and push the liner in front of the wheel forward. i had the exact same scrubbing spots as you and in an hour have a rub free truck to full lock on 275/65/20's with +20 offset.

 

Love this thread since it has a ton of info on tire size and what lifts are required.

There is a consensus that 275/60/20 on Platinum OEM wheels will fit on the Tundra with no modifications.
I am unclear if 275/65/20 with OEM Platinum wheels without modification, ie: factory non-trd skid plate cutout or mudflap removal.

Is anyone running 275/65/20 Platinum/OEM wheels with a TRD Skid Plate or RCI? I plan on getting either one to make oil changes much simpler.

 

i was running 275/65/20 on stock platinum wheels for a few months before i switched up my wheels. They'll tuck in and fit and on a level surface will likely be perfect but as soon as the truck leans or is backing and turning you're likely going to be scrubbing the front spads, the rear flaps (both of which will eventually be ripped off if not manually removed) and i have the stock skid plate which needs bending.
my truck is also sits about 2.5" higher than stock on 6112's but i'm not sure if it affects the tire fit.

Does this account for the TRD Sport’s lowered suspension on the 20 inch wheels?

2005 double cab limited 4WD with 275/70/17 Mickey Thompson Baja Legends on stock wheels. Has a Rancho Quick lift coilovers that level it.

Hey I know this post is from a while ago but you have no spacers, leveling kits, 5100's or shims? Everything is stock?

So I've got a 2008 Tundra with stock wheels from a 2009? I think. I wanna run 305x60r18 instead of 285x65r18. Will the 305s not fit because it's wider? I like wider tires more than narrow tires. I literally just got this tundra a week ago so I'm not familiar on the offset on these wheels. I recently moved into the tundra from a 97 80 series that I had built with 2.5 inch lift and 35s. I plan on leaving the tundra completely stock, suspension wise. Thanks in advance.

 

Truck currently has 285/75/16s on it, just ordered 4 of the same. Based on this, I may have a problem! Uh oh. Hope not. (2000 4wd sr5). They've already shipped.

man that's purdy... I'm looking to fatten up my tires too and put on a 3.5 lift. soon... soon...

 

If you like that, then do 1.5-2" lift and run stock rims with 295/70r18. No reason to go higher.

 

That sounds good. I'll check into that size lift as well, will see what they offer. I have R20 stock rims so I'll probably have to go to 295/60r20

 

I'm looking to do the same size; just talked to 1010tires. A 9" rim with 20mm offset gets you 27mm more inner clearance, which will accommodate the additional 1.25" of tire width. (or go with 25mm offset). Will post the results when I make it happen Afterthought: Need to ensure that the tire is true to size including sidewall lugs.....
