Was wondering if there’s a mod out there that could make the OEM mirrors fold in.

There's a kit you can buy but it isn't fun to install and a lot of work.

That’s what I thought, was hoping that they did. Anybody figure out a way to make them fold?

No not tow mirrors. But if you have a Platinum or 1794, you can just buy power fold enabled tow mirrors and they will work. Any other trim and you have to run the wires for power fold to work.

For power fold tow you will have to go aftermarket. Many threads on the topic and there are some options depending what features and mirror style you want. Good luck

Why wouldnt Boost auto make towing mirrors to have the same connector like the stock mirror?

Yes, there is an OEM power folding tow mirror and they are stupid expensive. Fit guides say they only work up to 2016 which is why most dealers say they don’t exist. But they do exist and fit to 2021. No BSM though.

I demanded PF OEM tow mirrors as part of my purchase. So, yes they exist, and they are costly. That said, be careful, ice can cause problems in the winter. Check out the search option for more wiring info. There is also a good YT video by an Asian guy who explains the process pretty well.

When it doubt, keep them out!

(power folding mirrors when it’s cold and freezing rain that is)

I think some wire them to auto fold with door locks. That could be bad.
