Installed the Meso customs LED interior lights! Very easy installation. Also another confirmation that these fit 2nd Gens. If you have a crew cab with the stand alone dome light, the rear light will fit. Fitment is spot on, color match is spot on and they are brighter then bright - seems like a quality product.

Not much else has changed on the truck recently, life has been busy (I've still been lurking around here on the daily). However, I have been going back and forth with Diode Dynamics because my SS3's were not functioning as they should. They were making a horrible humming/hissing/buzzing sound when turned on. After testing and sending lights back and forth since Thanksgiving, they are going to refund me entirely. Going to pull the trigger on some SS5's instead. The customer service has been great and they have totally backed the products. I was also having an issue with my sPOD randomly turning on/off and choosing random switches, so I sent that in the get work done. I also have plans to get my new rust free bed popped on, some offroad bumpers and additional lighting - I just need life to slow down for a bit so I can focus on the truck!

@aelarson - those are awesome lights. I would buy them for sure if they had black housings!!

I haven't tested them out in the dark yet, but I think they are going to be sweet! Is your trim all black on the roof?

Got my solar panel installed, made a new mount for the VHF antenna using a 5" x 1/8" stainless steel disc.
Thumb screws look like they'd be easy to take off.... Looks are VERY deceiving. To get the panel off, you have to take the rail off. To get the rail off you have to hire a 10yr old or a junkie to reach their arm in to tighten the center support bolt.

Are you running a secondary battery for add-ons? What setup do you have?

No secondary battery. Put solar on to keep the battery topped up and to deal with the draw from my company supplied vhf radio. Have to leave it on 6-14 hrs a day depending on what they have me doing and don't like idling the engine.

Optitron came in today. For $113 it’s in really good shape. I will get it in this weekend and update with photos.

Yes I have been scouring eBay for quite some time. Then this one appeared with close mileage.

I would probably do this if I could find a deal like that.

There are milage correction services. Or I saw a diy where someone connected a laptop to the circuit board and changed the mileage.

3" OME lift w/ UCAs. ARE overland shell w/ ARE roof rack. 34" Falken Wildpeaks. ARB awning. Road shower. Wilco Offroad Hitchgate Solo High Clearance. LED lighting upgrades. Lockerdown console safe. Weathertech floormats. Duluth deluxe rear seat cover to go under the offroad approved car seats.... :P
120,000 mile service. New spark plugs, oil change, 5 wheel rotation. Nothing too exciting... But the truck seems happy with new plugs, and my mpg looks like it maybe got a minor uptick.

Original muffler made it 14years in the snow/salt belt, not bad! Cherry Bomb Salute with a black tip. Tried to attach a video, but it wouldn’t let me. Sounds good, not too loud but loud enough for us 50+ Old School guys.

Added a "TRD" shift knob. It's an Amazon piece for $35... But looking it over, I'm willing to bet it's a legit TRD knob 'second'. There's a small scuff on the plastic that likely means it didn't pass quality inspection. But I expect it'll get scuffed up anyway, so I'm happy with it. No issues installing, perfect fit.

Today I started shopping for 17” wheels with 37” tires bc the 18” set I ordered on December 15th still are not available.
    It’s been 8 weeks already.
For some reason 17” is readily available but I didn’t think I could fit 17” but after browsing a bit on the internet apparently I can

Jealous. From what I've read, the fuel gauges don't work with FFV so I'm SOL. I am strongly considering doing the LED swap once it's not 4 degrees.

I’ve got 17’s and 35’s. You have to run stock size brakes, and make sure that when they get balanced they put the weights at the edge of the wheel. They might clear the caliper but I didn’t want to risk it. There is not much clearance in there with 17’s

I've read several places (including the manufacturer's website) that the sending unit on the FFV is different. It probably works overall, but the fuel gauge might not.

You're saying that's not right? If not, this becomes an option (they're only like an hour and a half south of me).

Turned two antenna brackets into one. Didn't get a chance to do it last week, so I'll get it welded next time I go to town.

Yeah, I'm 100% positive the optitron cluster I have works 100%. I put it in my 2010 Flex fuel SR5. I got the thing off ebay a couple years ago. I have no idea what it came out of, would probably have to be a limited. There's a guy in Denver that I sent it to and he programmed the exact mileage I needed it to be and sent it back, wanna say it was $80 +shipping. The guy's warning seems pretty serious, but I'm not sure if he's right.

Got the Optitron in today and I must say it’s very nice. I didn’t lose any gauges and everything works as it should. It’s cool to have all the extra features and settings. Money well spent!

Also while I was in there I lowered the dash dimmer switch to the opening near the left knee and the tow/haul up to the open space near the right knee. I have plans to paint the last few grey pieces on the dash so organizing switches ahead of time.

I’m gonna relocate the dimmer as well, wonderful idea bc I always forget I have one bc it’s hidden from view, thank you!

another reason I’m not super happy to have FFV. Guess I’m gonna keep the sweet JDM orange:( :pout::(

I started peeling the plasti-dip that the previous owner poorly applied off so I can reapply it later...
