100% agreed. Hell, I ordered a mesh grill 2 weeks ago, and it's not expected to ship until at least 18 Feb. Everything is affected, some people just want to enjoy time on the soapbox.

Folks, I just bought a rug from Crate & Barrell, and it'll be here in late May at the earliest.

There's difficulty everywhere, and it's starting to get under folks' skin. It's understandable. All around nothing's great.

    Steady as she goes.

Forward looking camera, Stub Antenna, 3M clearshield. A few other non lifted items.
To put a few things in perspective, we decided to buy a standard home with options. It took a year and 16 days till we we able it move in with a lot of pickups. In the middle of last summer I decided to get the two cat shields as I did not want to have my tundra down due to the cats missing. Anyways, delays happen and I was glad I was able to 7 moves with trailers without having to worry about my cats being stolen. The moves supplemented the 2 trucks from the moving co.. cheers..

I waited 8 months last year for my 5100s, Les Schwab manager was up front and kept me informed. Just something you have to deal with now.

I finally got around to installing my plates today. Kudos to Tyler for such a well designed product. I opted for the steel plates and everything fit perfectly on my truck. I was a little bit worried about getting security bolts but I finally gave up since Screwdsecurity.com seems unable to restock anytime soon. I did get the Barnes bolt protectors, (the 5/8" to 3/4") was way too big and frankly looked crazy for where I would have used them on the rear protector. I wound up just using Stainless Steel hardware from Lowe's along with the smaller Barnes bolt protectors only for the front Valhalla plate.

The newly redesigned brackets for the rear plate worked perfectly without additional spacers and the new TRD skid plate bracket worked perfectly with my OEM TRD skid plate. I could not even imagine trying to install the front plate without it as the clearances looked impossible.

So for finish, I became obsessed with getting Line-X done on them. If I were to give any advice, I probably would have just gotten them done with the powder coat. I love the finish of the Line-X and they feel incredibly durable but it wound up being about $300 to get done which was pricey on top of the plates. I'm posting them here in case anyone wants to see the finish.

The LineX does look really good if it makes you feel better about the cost :).

Not sure if it’s been mentioned here but if anyone is wondering if both plates will work with the wnor sliders - they do, with very slight modification. I cut Tyler’s rear bracket at the bend and rounded over the corners. I had to use the pentagon security bolt instead of wnor’s grade 8 because the security bolt was just a tad longer. Worked out well

Does your rear plate work with the Desert Eagle Offroad plate? Is it a simple bolt on?

So I installed my rear cat plate last week as per instructions. I drive 1 hour to work and had a weird vibration in the cab. I readjusted the z plate to lower the plate and vibrations are gone. Anyone else have that happen? Either way I’m sleeping better with these on

Just depends on how tight they were or if they moved slightly. You can always put a rubber strip in between the metal if it comes back.

I have no intention or desire to get ahead of anyone, but if one were to place an order, which metal should one order according to what you may or may not be most likely to have in stock when backlog is cleared? I’m moving to Houston in the next 8 weeks so this is a preventative measure for me! Thank you sir.

edit* hopefully this makes sense. I’m asking which line for the roller coaster moves faster..aluminum or steel and which thickness?

I would suggest that after maybe two weeks, go ahead and re-tighten the bolts. I had Tyler help me check them when I did the front skid which was about two and a half months after the back plates are on, and he did say it was a "tiny tad" loose, but I don't think it was that loose, and tighten it makes things solid.
But I think, anything with bolts, always good to check the tightness once in a while, just in case.

Is there an ETA on how much longer it takes for powder coat vs bare steel?

^^Due to all the overwhelming responses :p, I'm going to go with bare steel and paint it myself since I want this sooner rather than later.

Yeah, bare will always be faster than powder coating as he has to send the parts to a separate place to get powder coated. Now, of course, he may also have an order cancel or drop out that is powder coated. I'd recommend sending him a PM and telling him you'd be interested in that if anything does pop up.

It takes a lot to irritate me.

I picked up all the steel today. I am dropping off the majority to powder coat tomorrow morning.

I got good news from my cutter, the steel and aluminum will have about a 2 week turn around time from when I order, he found a local guy so no more freight costs.

@Classy63 will the bolts from the current platr work with the '22 plate?
I am asking because I have the security bolts I bought for the 2020 plates and wondering if I should sell or keep for reuse.

We bought a new refrigerator from NFM in Feb of 2021.
The current 13-year-old GE fridge works, but it's making weird noises.
They told us May of 2021, the June of 2021, then August of 2021, and then November of 2021.
We canceled the order and got our money back.

Fortunately, the now 14-year-old GE is still kickin' along..

So correct, everyone that ordered Tyler's cat plate are so looking forward to receiving them...I'm following a member who ordered his on Thanksgiving day and he's still patiently waiting.. Myself, I'm the first week of Dec , again waiting patiently for that confirmation shipping e-mail... This gives you a general base line of the back orders and wait time for this awesome product by one guy doing it all himself... And now we're in Feb...I'm so ready for these to show up on my front door.... Thank you Tyler for doing the deed. We appreciate it.
