    Hi folks,
I'm having an issue with my horn not working on my 2011 Platinum.
I've replaced the clock spring and fuse block, also checked the horn on 12v battery which works. I see that the circuit goes from the relay into the ECU which I have little knowledge. Wondering if anyone has had this happen to them?
As a side note; one thing that did happen last year is that I as was hauling my boat out of the water, my truck sunk into the bottom and I got stuck. About 4 inches of water got into the cab over the floor. I think some connector may have got wet and now could be corroded. Having a hard time locating a diagram which shows my how the the wiring is layed out on the floor under the carpet. I did find one connector under the carpet beside the drivers seat toward the door but it has good rubber over it and really cant see it even getting wet.
Look forward to your thoughts. Thank you,

    Tim

Ha ha, not "to the bottom", " into the bottom".
It meant the bottom was soft and my wheels sunk (settled) down into it. Just enough to cover the floor with 3 or 4" of water. But yes, never good. Lol

I have the older version of this but it doesn't show any of the routing. Only difference between this one and the one I have is that my 2011 drawing shows 2 horn switches. I'm going to check under the airbag to see if the short linking wire might be bad.
    Thanks for the reply

Are you sure you hooked up the horn after replacing the clock spring? I forgot to slide that little clip onto the air bag when I did my clock spring so the horn wouldn't work.

Are you talking about the wire from the horn switches to the clockspring? If so, yes that was connected correctly. But I'm going to take the airbag back out and test that wire to make sure it's fine.
    Thanks for the reply sir.

You're not going to like my suggestion, but here's what I would do if I had your problem.

    1. Disconnect the battery.
    2. Pull all the seats out.
    3. Remove all plastics securing the carpet.
    4. Pull the carpet.
    5. Find all electrical connectors that could have possibly gotten wet, unplug them, clean them, then pack them with a tiny bit of dielectric grease, then plug them back in.

Even if this doesn't fix your horn, there may be other corrosion waiting to cause you problems.

I probably will eventually do that when the weather gets warmer and drier. Wish I had a garage but unfortunately, I do not.
It'll be a fairly extensive job but like you say, it would possibly prevent corrosion problems down the road.
    Thanks for your suggestion.

It's nothing to pull seats out. Your biggest labor heavy task is the removal of the console and even then

Still have to remove moldings and carpet, then congealed rubber over the connections on the floor. Besides, I'm still recovering from a surgery. Trust when I say this will be a daunting task me.

I had just realized that I hadn't updated my horn issue. I did finally get the horn working. A cheap clockspring worked for a couple weeks yhen the horn quit again. I paid for a better quality one and installed it. Horn has been fine ever since.
