I agree. Felt it was too high, I'm not in too much of a rush. Have this 2000 I am fixing for my dad, and picking up a new truck this weekend. I have not looked this one over and probably won't have time to before its sold. As far as I can tell from the records the only thing that was replaced was LBJ's by Toyota recall at 25k miles. I get notifications when one comes on the market, and I have to say its amazing how few are listed.

Thanks for that link. Denso says 210-0403 for my truck but I have to think the 130A would work fine too. That's what I would prefer.

Not really, but I still have to drive through it Saturday. My truck is already white with some silver on it.

Big thing I'd check if you haven't lately is the big 3 thread. Confirm what you've got now, plug-wise (oval or rounded square), so you know what you're up against workwise.

When I get my swap done and I'm able to get the damaged 130A tested, I'll holler to see where you're at with things.

The worst snow storms are snow followed by rain so you get a mound in a hard covering. Need to take a hoe out to pound through it or is it sidewalk scrapper? I can't remember.

I’m fully stocked on these connectors from my own research. I would definitely not be overly concerned about connector shape. I can make a p&p adapter now.

@Jack McCarthy, I googled 'luminiferous ether' to see how far off the mark I was when I guessed/extrapolated the meaning.
I was off by a fair margin, I'll have you know. A fair margin indeed.

But my googling shed light on your use thereof. :D

Anybody else get turned off by trucks and parts being called "Pro" or "Boss"? I don't like work terms applied to things I want to enjoy.

It started with Home Depot and their "pro" parking area. Then Toyota picked up the pro thing. The boss thing I never liked at all.

It is one of those "I'm out of problems" problems for sure. :hattip:

Which come with lame ass street tires. Ridiculous. Imagine paying $60K for a truck and then immediately having to shell out $1,200 for all terrains.

Minnesota. That is the work done on a 2021 Sequoia with Toyota "undercoating package" also includes that device that suppose to use electricity to stop rust from the negative side which they installed and left hanging loose underneath the hood.

the alternator itself started on fire? i always carry an extinguisher ever since my garage fire lol but interesting. Idk if anyone else does this but I occasionally blast my alternator with electronic parts cleaner and then wd40 afterwards

I keep an Element E50 in the 911.
I don't carry an extinguisher in the truck or in Kelly's car.

I have one of those Element fire extinuishers in my truck and love the compact size. I should pick up a few more for the Rav4 and my garage.

When you collect your extinguishers to check dates, dont forget to put em back where they go.

Alternator lit up, internally. I wish I'd taken a pic of the old one after having it towed to be replaced my local trusted mech because I was heading out of town for work.

He said he'd never seen anything like it, inside had parts of the coil completely melted together, obvious char/flame flicker marks coming out of the vents, etc. Said there's no doubt it was on fire internally, but his guys told him there was no damage to the harness or plug, which saved me a couple hundred bucks I reckon.

    I need tire advice.

    I'm over-tired (hah!)

4 285's, these go on the Tundra, working on the 5th matching spare, pretty squared here, mounted, balanced, ready to rock
4 crappy 5 year old takeoffs, plenty of tread, these go bye bye right before I go get my alignment done, bridgestone duhlers
    5 265/75 geolanders, near new, 1k miles
    5 245/75 destinations, near new, 1k miles
4 nokian hakkas, my snow tires, love these guys
1 wrangler stock spare on alloy

I'm thinking dump the 5 destinations as a set on craigslist for $500? They are the least sexy. Anyone else think differently? The only part that gives me a moments pause is that my Tacoma is a street rig so the 245's would be rather optimized for that vs the 55 lb geolanders in e rating. But the geos would look better and sit a tiny bit higher which is maybe just about right for a slightly beefier than stock setup.

These should all work on either truck though the FGT has stock 15mm offset to Taco 25mm stock offset and I don't think I have fit 285's on the taco or at least not in the spare location, besides, the big tires go on the big truck, that much is clear.

I could keep 4 full sets but that's getting a tiny bit nuts? Or is it? Anyone know of a good container/shed for storing spare wheels so I don't have to waste storage locker space on tires?
