Does my 2010 Crewmax Limited have auto up capability? Maybe disabled? Auto down works but no auto up.

Nope. Our Tundras only have auto down. Many of us have used aftermarket kits to achieve the auto up feature.

Just Auto down. You can add a module from 3WLiners.

Been thinking about getting one of these. How does the module know that the window is all the way up and to stop running the motor? Is that an unfounded worry? I think it would wear the motors out faster than necessary. Otherwise I'm sold and am very close to buying one.

"Unfounded worry". Motor stops immediately at the end of the window's travel.

It really wouldn't be any different that the factory auto switch for the driver's window. I have AutoLocs on mine but may switch to the 3W at some point. There are a few on here that have the 3W module.

    Too many, but not enough....
I would imagine its set to a certain number of revolutions since the distance traveled would be fixed. Or there is a sensor or switch that the window would rest on at the end of its travel.

My buddys 2010 platinum has it. Is it factory on the plat or does he likely havean aftermarket module?

I'm not sure. I know at least some trims of the Sequoia has auto both ways, but didn't think even the platinum Tundra has it.

Probably stops the same way the window stops when you roll it up normally

I have the 3W module and love it. Also, our Sequoia has auto up as well.

I have the 3W module in my 2014 SR5 DC and I like it.
The auto down with the remote doesn't work so well with my aftermarket alarm/remote start key fob.
Should be when locked; unlock, lock, unlock all 4 windows go down, but not so much for me.
Sometimes it works with my Drone Mobile app on my iPhone.

Although when I lock with that remote, all 4 windows do go up every time, I like that.

From the driver's door switches, the auto up/down works great on all four windows.
Take s little to learn using auto up and down, compared to partially open and closed.

    I have no regrets..

So is it possible to get out of the truck and use the key to lock the doors without closing all windows?

I'd guess that it stops when a certain amount of force is hit, similar to factory windows or garage door openers that will cut off if fingers or something is stuck in the opening. Guessing the control box has force limited built into it.

Do the switches at each window auto up/down? Or is this only the function from the driver's window switch? And is it only the function of that one switch and not all four at the driver's door?

It only works from the driver's panel. It will auto up/down for every window in the truck (except the back window).
Yes, it takes a second push of the lock button to close any window left open. So you can leave the windows cracked and lock the doors. Here's a link to my experience with 3WLiners. https://www.tundras.com/threads/what-have-you-done-to-your-2nd-gen-tundra-today.68/page-380 post #11374

One switch in the four switch module (driver's) or all switches? Can you operate each window separately from the driver's panel?

Yes, you have to hit the lock twice and the windows should stop.

It only works from the driver's door switch and it is all 4 windows.

If you want each door switch to have auto up/down there is a different option that you have to install in each door.
I'll see if I can find it.
    Here it is..

Autoloc OneTouch on all my windows, including rear Crewmax | Toyota Tundra Forum (tundras.com)

But I'm the only one in my truck 95% of the time so this works for me.

Each window switch on the driver's panel operates independently. All of the four switches from the driver's panel are auto up/down.

I haven’t been able to find any info of the module working with the truck running. I would assume it would function the way I think it would, but instead of assuming I might as well ask. My goal is to have the ability to leave the truck running (with dogs inside), driver window down, reach in the window, manually lock the truck and auto roll the window up. Essentially having a running truck with all windows up and locked. Anybody do this also? Or at least be able to tell me that it would work like I’m hoping? I just swapped from a Tacoma and this is exactly what I would do if I needed to run in some place with the dogs in the truck.
    Thanks!

I recently installed the 3W on my 2020. I discovered last week that you can activate the auto up and down by using the fob, the lock button on the switch, or with the key in the door. I'm thinking that with the truck running, you could use your second key to manually lock the truck and roll the windows up. I'll try it when I get home this afternoon.

Alright, let me know what you find out. I know my ‘19 will not lock with the second key fob outside the truck while it is running. Hoping you can leaving the truck running and reach in the window and lock/auto roll it up from the outside. Then all you should have to do is manually unlock the driver door with the key to get back in. Thanks for checking it out for me.
