Thanks, IIRC they don't offer auto dim which I also wanted.

I don't think any of the tow mirrors, aftermarket or OEM have auto dim. I too was disappointed about that.

Same here, but to gain the additional spot mirrors that look factory is a huge plus

Hey guys, new to this forum. I have a 2014 platinum Crewmax that i just installed 1Aauto mirrors, BSM, heat, power, power fold, memory, and turn signals all work. As everyone else mentioned, the running lights/marker lights do not work. It came with an extra wire to wire into an existing circuit to make those lights work. Does anyone know where i can find the wires to tap into so they work with my marker lights?

    Working on them now...
I was just going to order these as the price is great but the shipping cost is unbelievable! $104 to ship to WA! I'm gonna have to look elsewhere...

I did not know this. I have an SR5 so I did gain the running lights and blinker. That is so odd that the higher trim levels are different.

Can one of you fine upstanding members tell us the overall dimension of the tow mirror as in how much further does the unit extend from the truck than the original mirror , I have seen some tow mirror mods around here on Dodge Rams and they look stupid as they are just too far out from truck , Thanks , sawz.

Measured from the truck to the bottom of the tow mirror mine measure 7.5" retracted and 11.5" extended. However, these are the 1AAuto aftermarket mirrors. I do not know what the original mirror distance was but these def sit further out when retracted. I would imaging they sit out a good 2-3" further. I too hate the look of the Ram mirrors when they are flipped out (vertical). Just saw another one today and thought it looked like stupid ears sticking out.

Well guys it appears that Toyota has screwed us again. You would think that when you buy a Platinum Tundra with a towing package as standard equipment they would have the correct towing mirrors to match.
I purchased a Platinum and now I am pissed. The only after market tow mirrors I found that May fit the Platinum mirrors look like crap. It appears that the Platinum mirrors are larger than the standard tundra mirrors. No custom slip on mirrors will fit the Platinum. Bummer.
What will it take for Toyota to comply with the towing standards and offer the correct towing mirrors for the Platinum.
Here is what needs to be done
Make the new towing mirrors for the Platinum, chrome, BSM, auto dim, heated, turn signal, clearance lights, puddle lamps, power mirrors with memory, and power fold. HOW HARD CAN THIS BE?

Another thing I've been advised about the factory tow mirrors is The wiring on the 2017, 1794 and Platinum are different because of the puddle lights and other functions. You lose the clearance lights on the factory tow mirrors and you lose the BSM, AUTO DIM and power fold functions. You keep the turn signal.

I believe you're correct and I was mistaken. BSM, I believe, is not available on OEM tow mirrors.

Did anyone find out how to wire the clearance lights so that they would work on tow mirrors for the tundra??
