Anyone have some brilliant ideas for washing/drying in dry and hot climate to avoid water spots? I'm running into the issue of the car drying way too fast and I'm running around like an idiot in a drying frenzy to avoid water spots.

Seems it's just inevitable that I have to go back over it with a quick-detailer before wax.

I try to rinse with the truck on a slope and in the shade. Helps the water run off faster and also have a helper wiping down.

Same here, I park half way in the street so I get the natural angle. Still sucks... no helper here. It would be a Miracle if the fiancé helped

I'm contemplating buying an RO system for car washing only to avoid spending so much on quick detailer.

Fully understand. My well water is extremely mineral saturated and hard to use without spotting.
Soon after the fiancé turns into the wife you can start on a small crew, kids are a free labor force, right?

OK here's today's top tip. Once you're done washing your truck, take the nozzle off the end of the hose and just let the water pour over the surface of the paint. It will leave less droplets behind and sheet off of the paint. It doesn't eliminate all water but it sure takes a huge amount away that you have to dry off.

Add a leaf blower to that then along with a quality microfiber drying towel. Not any old microfiber towel but one specifically made for drying.

Wow, can't believe I never looked into this! Just ordered some waterless wash from
Chemical guys. Gonna give it a try this weekend in the garage.

I already do a 2 bucket wash, so nothing should be different.

The car never gets terribly dirty unless I go off-roading, but that's mainly with the Tacoma...

How would you recommend washing after off-roading with rinseless? Presoak with a spray bottle? (Obviously assuming no heavy mud.)

I've tried early in the am and later at night. Just seems to be too dry...

I really like the idea of rinseless washing to be able to move panel by panel.

"Steve" hit the nail on the head... I use a 1700 psi electric pressure washer to rinse everything off before I hit it with the foam cannon. The more you can knock off before touching the better.

If it's not that nasty, then the 2 bucket rinseless will be fine, no spots. For a better result hit it with detail spray after.

How do you go about taking minor tree sap drops off with rinseless? Just curious, haven't tried yet. I'll be trying out the rinseless wash tomorrow and my tree over the driveway drops sap. Not a bunch just here and there. Small drops about the 1/4 of a thumbnail. Have about 6 of them on the passenger side and roof.

Yeah, a pretty good coat. I use a spray wax (insta wax from chemical guys) after every wash to maintin the sealant.

Usually when I used to bucket wash, it would come off with just regular washing from what I notice.

Successful rinseless wash for both the tundra and tacoma. Pretty much the way to go IMO... can't believe I never tried it before. Used the new DI machine to fill the buckets for a spot free wash.
