Are the sensors Toyota? Did they give you the ID numbers? You can use Techstream to program the ID numbers and it will show you the information of each sensor. We did have a new hand held scanner at the dealership that was pretty cool. You would scan all the tpms sensors then plug it into the OBD2 and it would automatically update the info to the module. Unlikely Discount Tire would have such a thing.

LCA squeaky at cam adjustment area.
    Last alignment 5000 miles ago.
One cam tab getting worn, of course.
Alignment fellow tightened super tight to lessen possible movement.
    134,000 miles.

Should I hit with at-205 and then silicone or lithium grease or replace bushing?

Replacing the rubber bushing in the control arm is something that is rarely needed. If the bushing rubber is good I don’t recommend you change them. They are very difficult to do. Depending where you live Tundras and Tacomas have issues with the cam bolts seizing up. Some alignment techs tend to just crank the cam trying to get the numbers and bend the tab. Cam tabs don’t wear out because there is no movement there. If the cams are seized the control arms should be removed and new cams installed.

Are you sure the noise is from the lower control arms bushings? Squeak noises are usually from dry ball joints.

    Im in Alabama.
Last month I did some off roading in the mud.
I did pressure wash everything but pretty sure I didn’t hit that area too hard.

The tab is slightly bent from a previous alignment.
I plan on doing TC gussets and/or Bison Offroad cam kit.

My first thought was ball joints as well.
I did grease everything and inspect the most common areas.
    Camburg UCAs
But I didn’t notice the noise from that area in general.

I climbed underneath yesterday evening and had the truck shaken back and forth to determine the area of noise.
It was fairly distinctive when I was underneath.

I guess hitting it with some spray lube would be my next step to see if that at least stops the noise.

Check and see if you don’t have any small stones caught between the control arm and mount. If the cam tabs are bent it’s likely the cams are seize. The cams should move freely. Hitting the bushing with lube would help determine if the noise in that area. I would just use some WD40. Some lubes can deteriorate rubber bushing. Rubber bushings are designed to operate dry.

Just another thought. Remove your front skid plate and see if the noise goes away. Sometimes dirt and small stones get trapped between the skid plate and frame and makes noise. It’s very common with the TRD skid plate.

    Thank you!
    I’ll check those things.
    My skid is RCI

would a silicone or lithium grease be better?
I always thought WD-40 would shorten the life of rubber.
But I guess WD-40 will wash off.

Yes the WD40 would just wash off. You would just use it to diag. Silicone spray if you plan on doing it religiously.

To find the location of the pins in the connector we us Toyota Inforstream at the dealership. I believe you can sign up and use it but there is a fee. Another way is to find another Tundra and check the harness. Maybe someone on the forum could take a picture to help you out.

Can you recommend any aftermarket transmissions for an ‘07 5.7 4x4 w/tow package? The local dealership wants to charge $5500+ to put one in. There has to be a cheaper option. I’d rather give my local small shop the business with a quality reman and never deal with it again. The truck only has 145k on it. Thank you and you rule for doing this!!!

When I start my Tundra up in the morning, how long should I wait before driving? There is a start up procedure that the engine seems to go through but I can never figure out how long to wait before I ease into driving.

FYI - I love in Canada, where the weather isn't really warm most of the time.

When I first crank mine, the engine revs higher for about 20-30 seconds or so. When it revs down I assume it's good to go. I crank it before doing anything else, so while I am waiting, I put my seatbelt on and get everything else situated. I'm curious about the "official" answer as well though.

Depending on temp. When it’s -40C I will let it run for about 10 min. On warmer winter days around -10C about 2-5min. A little trick on very cold days is to not turn your steering wheel at all. The PS fluid is like plastic and I think contributes to PS leaking and failures.

Is there no synthetic power steering fluid that fixes this issue?

Doesn't Toyota call for ATF, the same thing that's in their automatic transmissions?

Are factory overload leafs flat, or can they only be installed one way or flipped?

Same for the main spring, does it have to be installed with one particular side to the front?

That what we used at the dealership but it's only a semi synthetic(WS fluid). It would still get thick when cold and anytime we has PS issues was during the coldest months. The gen 1 was really bad for PS leaks.

Hey everyone, is there any chance you guys have a link or source for the 12v motor that's in our 2nd gens 4x4 actuators or something else similar? I've found the original motors info page on the manufactures website ( mabuchi rs-455-3050 ). But can't find any online. I'm close to ordering the entire unit (600$), but if there's a way to replace the motor it could save me big bucks which would be totally sweet. Thank You all!

I cleaned and greased everything else and can solder the terminals back on. Thankfully the rust wasn’t penetrating the metal too bad

Can you find a used one? Probably the cheapest way to go.
