Hey yall so I had a not so fun experience lately namely blowing my engine
So I was wondering where a guy like me would buy a crate motor

Deep water + running engine = not good(aka hole in engine leaking oil)

Someone on here just found a used 2UZ for like $350. If you hunt, I'm sure you can find used, no prob. Installing and find someone to install, and making sure you got a good motor to put in is another story....

    Hey that's me!

But yup, facebook marketplace is your friend for finding motors.
Mine is high mileage (about 300k) but running, for $350.

That being said, as I'm learning, swapping it in yourself is no joke of a job.

Believe he was referring to @kirbotc and his engine woes. We know you hydrolocked yours during full send glory!!! Which as usual, is short lived and followed by pain and suffering. Been there.....

Nah I haven’t pulled mine apart to see just yet.

I’m kind of keeping that motor intact while I work on the new one, so I have a reference for putting it back together

Going to upgrade with a snorkel or be more careful about the 2 foot deep puddles you venture through?
