All good, I get it. I felt it was lacking the minimum pieces of flair.

We were up in Wyoming for a week. The truck is still great. The weather was gorgeous, but it was muddy on the way in. I spent about $35 at the car wash trying to get most of the mud off the underside.

That’s easy, remove the drivers side. I mean how often do you look at the passenger side of your truck?

Or do like I did and get flat sliders that have a deck so they double as steps. My BFF sliders are awesome

Basically same reason I keep mine on. I don't think it looks terrible (I prefer nerf bars but w/e) and the kids need them to get into the vehicle.

Your seats will thank you for the steps. Look at trucks with beaten up side bolsters and compare that to trucks without steps. It's not an exact 1:1, but it's close. That's why I even like steps or sliders on lower SUVs. The less sliding in those seats the better.

Sadly, previous owner of my truck must've been about 6'3" or something. They opted to slide in and out regularly. Side and bottom bolsters blown.

I'm almost exactly 6' these days, shrunk a good inch-plus since high school years. I can juuuuust slide in with some effort and dodge the step. But it's not comfortable.

Wish there was a good way to repair those bolsters. The rest of the leather throughout the truck minus the pleather-vinyl door inserts is great.

I used duct tape on mine and some random foam I found around. I purchased some decent foam and said I'd get back in there and fix it right but I haven't yet. It still looks and feels pretty good now. The katzkin helped firm up my patch job anyway. A seat bottom foam replacement would be the best way to get a new feeling seat. I think they were around $150-200 when I did my leather about 2 years ago.

Gotta ask how your truck does in the sand and what tire pressure you run. I’ve been wanting to sand camp forever. My truck is set up almost identical to yours. Any tips for sand driving? Looks like Sand Lake in Oregon if I’m not mistaken…
