Thank you kind sir! Looking to replace LBJ on my 06 limited. Went to all 3 sites, the Mcgeorge with the "freeship" promo code was the least (Far Left). Still no clue on where to buy Bolts tho.....

I'm going to call the dealer nd find out about this LBJ kit which is part number 04006-62134. It's around $180 for both.

I believe that is for the earlier 1st gens that has different LBJ and kit # is different.
    Late 04 - 06 kit # 04006-62134
    Early 02- 03 kit# 04005-21134
    Early 01- 02 kit# 04005-04134

    Can some verify?

I think you cross reference your VIN, or call the dealer with your VIN

I just went online and entered my VIN. Funny how the over the phone price is almost 50% more than the online price. Even with instore pick up. You should be able to get them for about $120 each ordering online. Call or walk in and 175-200 each.

I bought a pair of Detroit Axle LBJ's last Feb and have put 5K miles on them without problem. I'm stating to rethink that. I may have to run down to the local NAPA and see what they have. Maybe have them get a set of MOOG joints and pick them up if they have the 555.

Just ordered mine. Thank you @Darkness for your willingness to help and your advice!

Will do LCAs at the same time, and weld up the spindle gussets…

I replaced my original LCAs because the bushings were shot. I think the bushings are around $70? I don't have the right tools to press out the bushings and I didn't want to try a bottle jack to press them out, so I just bought new arms. I didn't realize how bad my bushings were until the new arms were in.

If Speed Freek is doing your front end work, see what he thinks because he might be able to replace just the bushings and save you a little money. If you're doing it yourself, replacing the LCAs which already have the bushing pressed in is very easy and fast as long as there isn't rust.

@daveeasa If your Lca bushings are toast, it’s usually considered easier to swap in new arms with them already pressed in than try and get the old ones out.

Thanks, I'll ask him. Poor guy, having to deal with me and my 1001 questions and the constant stream of new parts I throw in my truck every week :)

He didn't seem to think replacing the LCA's was a great way to spend money last I asked about it, but I am not sure he's taken a close look at them yet.

The others covered it, bushings. Unless you broke one and then you know. The Moogs I ordered were around 100 per.

Toyota bushings are around $80 each I think. Makes more sense to just get arms, but be a little picky about which ones. Mevotech lowers were known to have poor bushings in the past, not sure if that's changed. I went beck arnley and it's luck of the draw. Moog seems more consistent in quality.

and SPC's or TC are where you spend more than needed if not going LT b/c they don't do anything different than OEM? This is what I've been told so far, but maybe I mis-heard / mis-interpreted?

They help with alignment, and allow for more droop, less bind. And probably give you two less ball joints to worry about. Needed for EXT coilovers.

Related - Along with LBJs, I ordered Moog LCAs. One came, one was out of stock. So I ordered a NAPA, thinking the high price tag would get me the same quality. Nope, Moog looks and is built like OEM - Napa has smaller rivets, less material where the ball joint attaches, and less build quality in general. Avoid NAPA for LCAs. I found another Moog, I'm not going this far to mess around.

I just finished my LCA and I ordered AcDelco and they almost looked identical and felt like the oem.

I'm assuming your using oem LBJ correct? I'm going to be the guinea pig trying the ttx LBJ I'll keep everyone posted.
