It definitely has. Ordered some CarPro spotless as you suggested - I’ll see where that gets me. Thanks for the rec.

Most dedicated water spot removers are just diluted acid. A strong wheel cleaning acid will work better but have to be careful with them. Make sure the panel is cool, don't do it in sunlight, work it in gently with a soft microfiber, and wash it off.

Pretty good comparison of several methods. Wheel acid seems to be the fastest, confirming what @Ckatz53 said. I’ve had better luck than they did with MDR though.

    Both great options.

I’ll add Shine Supply Trim Shield to this. It is the most expensive option though.

Question: I have a white tundra and I can't seem to get the black exhaust residue off the paint. Any suggestions?

Honestly never had to deal with that before. I would assume try a clay bar and/or iron remover and see what it does. If not, an acid or mineral spirits as that typically handles the worse off stuff (just be careful) we have come across. May need to resort to polishing as a last step after trying the aforementioned. I'd be interested in what some of the more experienced folks in here would venture to say.

I've never had this issue with my Tundra, as the stock exhaust exits far enough away and pointed down. I think the answer you got from CKatz is spot on....I can not think of anything else to try anyway. The only suggestion I'd have would be to put on some PPF once you get the area clean...even though I hate PPF. As a shorter term fix, you could always use track tape....although I think you'd probably go through a lot of it.

What’s the best way to clean the rubber pieces that the windows slide on? Every time I roll my windows down and back up, that piece leaves them streaky as hell. Infuriating after I’ve spent time cleaning the windows.

Roll the windows all the way down and use a toothbrush. Spray it with APC and scrub the seals inside then wipe with a microfiber. The rear windows on my crewmax stays slightly above the seal. I just pry it back with a plastic trim pry tool and clean the same way. Almost impossible to get completely clean without taking the seal out though. There's stuff you can't reach where dirt will build up and cause streaking. I've got 5% tint and everything shows on my windows so I've just learned to live with it....always got my windows down too lol.

Just bought a bottle of the Shine Supply Classy Chassis. Can’t wait to use it in 8 months or so.

Definitely going to detail the truck again when I get back. Don’t know how the truck is going to fair when I start overland camping in it (about to order the AT Overland Summit topper for it)

I really like classy chassis it smells so damn good. It doesn’t last a long time but it sure makes the underbody look real good after a full detail. Just don’t let it drip on the driveway or you’ll hear it from ur significant other.

APC. We go through gallons of Simple Green from Home Depot. Diluted 50:1 should work fine for your seals.

Wash the truck and rinse it off. While it is still wet, spray the product on about a section at a time, wait about 30 seconds, and rinse it off. Start with the roof and work your way down. Just don’t do too much at a time, because you absolutely do not want it having a chance to dry on the vehicle.

While you’re doing it, keep misting the rest of the truck so the water / Hydro2 doesn’t dry and leave spots. Keep in mind that some product will runs down on other panels while you’re doing it. Key is to not let the vehicle dry on its own during the process.
Once you’ve done all panels (while keeping the rest wet), go over the whole thing one more time.

You don’t need to use much. Just a light mist over the paint. Follow the dilution instructions on the bottle. I think it’s 6:1. A bottle of this will last you quite a while.

Once you get the routine down, there’s nothing easier. It doesn’t add gloss, so you can follow up with a spray wax or something later. (Beadmaker works great with Hydro2.)

I couldn’t find a great video on how to apply. Most of the ones I looked at used way too much product. It won’t hurt, but it’s a waste of money. This is probably the best one if you don’t mind Pan’s chatter.
