What have you done to your 1st gen Tundra today?

Any improvement in droop? I'm curious if ATS would be a cost friendly alternative to Archive, mainly, since I seem to hit limit on the stockers pretty easily.

 

I'd probably wait until I see a problem with firing (most likely on a warm muggy day), but that's just me.

 

Buddy finally had time to test those 1zz injectors. Came back good. All around 258cc output, perfect patter. 12hole upgrade here I come (in a week or 2) I may have him test the old ones to see their flow rate too

 

1.5" would be perfect for my needs. I know you need to install new U-bolts. Did you all get new shackles as well? I guess it depends on the condition of mine. I'll take some pics.

 

I went through the same exercise when I changed my plugs earlier this year. 6/8 had hairline cracks. One was missing a rubber boot, so I replaced that one. I did not go as far as replacing the others because I haven't had any misfires either. But I do have one extra now, that I keep in my truck JIK I run into an issue (along with a 10mm wrench).

Changed my oil last night and took a look around. This is something that caught my eye. The sub frame looks to be getting, or has gotten, greased. The pass side boot looks a little wet all the way around at a certain point, the drivers side looks better. Both sides got greased. What do you all think? I'd appreciate perspective from others. Let me know how far up the priority/worry list I should be putting this.

I never checked droop, but I'd say it's about the same, meaning when I installed them I lowered the rear axle and the space was about the same installing the new ones.

 

My 20 year old shackles were fine so I reused them. No issues before or after.

The worst part is getting the front side of the leafs off the truck

 

Simple. But now I'm all LED in the cab. These little 74 LED bulbs are bright!
Also checked the two wires up in my overhead console and neither are ignition controlled for my Gentex mirror. So I'll likely have to run a wire down the a-pillar and find an ignition circuit to tap off of. I'm sure there is a good pictorial tutorial somewhere on this forum. I'll try and find it to dig it up.

Where did those LED bulbs find a home?

Yeah, I still have to do my mirror harness. I got some of it started but need to do an extension harness to get down the a pillar.

I changed mine in the glove box with the same led blub you have, you just have to sand lighty the sides so if can fit. Also when your testing the light make sure you have the key on accessory. Ask me how long it took me to find out.

 

Yea. Got mine working. Found that thread thankfully so only wasted 30 mins wondering why it wasn’t working, checking the fuse, flipping the polarity of the light etc.

 

More like the plastic molding seam. Wouldn't chase a problem that ain't a problem.

Looks like mine after I leveled it and I just needed to do new boot clamps.

 

I just measured the Archive MD pack lift. Prior to installing them, I was 9" from the top of the axle tube to the frame. It's now 11.5" - a 2.5" increase. I'm told stock is 9.5" there on my truck. So give or take 2" over stock. These springs hold weight, I don't need quite that much rake. So, TC drop shackles will take off about 3/4". And I have some more weight coming, so shackles first and some further evaluation.

 

I was given some left over energy suspension sway bar end link bushings (probably 2+ years ago lol). Decided to toss them on the truck today.

I tried for 2.weeks and eventually just handed mine over to a shop. Took em like an hour.

Is TFT the transmission temp? I always called mine ATF, but I can't get it to work on my 06. I think I need to update my firmware on my scangauge. Might do that this week.

 

Yeah tft, it was definitely the hardest one to program in for some reason
