If I remember correctly, it was 10% off. It essentially paid for the shipping and tax.

I can understand that. Plus inflation. Stuff is always cheaper a year or two ago from today.

Hey Guys, has anyone with kings that installed a c4 bumper also changed out their springs on their coilovers to #700? im currently waiting on my hybrid bumper and i have a set of ext travel 2.5’s with 600lb springs. I purchased a set of #700lb springs also for them to install.

I am running 650lbs springs with my C4 overland + winch and belly skids. Overall I am happy with the ride. I ran 700 lbs springs on my Tacoma with equivalent parts, and figured that would work well for the tundra also. But after to speaking with Filthy Motor Sports went with the 650lbs springs. After doing a bit more research decided that 700 lbs springs will work but you you should most likely be doing some valving changes also for the extra weight (very summarized description).

edit: lots of guys running 700 lbs springs though and are very happy with it.

Thank you for your reply. I was thinking maybe trying the 600lbs that are currently on it but my end goal is to take some preload out of the coil over with the 700s to achieve a similar ride comfort speaking. I am also running a 1/4” spacer atop the coil over and want to get rid of that being that inalready have extended coilovers and my dropout is even further now. I only have 5k miles on the coilovers so i don’t want to pull apart for a revalue right now. 99% of the off-road i do is slower speed stuff no jumping or bombing down trails. I also have compression adjusters as well. Thanks

How much total lift do you have and what do your CV angles look like? Are you wanting run a winch? If no winch or synthetic winch I would try the 600lbs springs first and go from there. I had about 1/4” change when I added my bumper/winch with the 650lbs springs but it actually brought the truck more to where I wanted at about 2 inches of lift. The heavier spring rate will definitely make it feel more harsh at slower speed on road and off for your described use.

I actually took some preload out of my kings recently. I’m not exactly sure how much preload i have now. I would say they are probably only a turn or 2 past what they came pre set at. Yes i plan on running a winch and i also just added an arb dual compressor and am waiting on a bigger battery. I also purchased Baja xl/squadron/s1 for both sides of the bumper along with an s8 and 2 lp6’s. My cv angle isn’t great but no issues with leaking cv’s or worn boots. My end goal is to not go for a big amount of lift.

Sounds like a good set up. I would put it on and then see if you need extra spring. The other thing would be to remove the top spacer on those Kings and adjust your preload to your desired height. If you are running aftermarket UCAs you can go up to 3” of lift. Keep in mind that is max and they operate better in the 2-2.5 inch range. Also keep in mind the spacer is nothing more than height and with the extended travel coil overs you can over droop the capability of the CV axle and UCA (sorry if you are already aware of all of this, but I would try what you have before changing your springs on a very capable OEM replacement setup.)

Placed my order! Ending up getting 10% off. So I went ahead and pulled the trigger. According to their website the lead time is 14 weeks. Getting it shipped to the shop that will be installing the bumper, wench, lights, and aux battery in the bed of the truck.

Next up, putting a 50% down payment of the AT Overland Summit. Then will have to start a build thread.

Joined their “club” and received an email with their website link. Saved $160ish. Paid for taxes and a little of the shipping charge.

Went ahead and ordered because they aren’t running a Black Friday sale so any discount helps. The BD lights are going to cost double the amount of the bumper.

Thanks. Yeah the BD lights will cost a fortune. Thankfully I already have a 30" BD bar with my current bumper. But just 2 LP9's will be like 1200 bucks. It's werf it if you have the money to blow - that 30" BD bar I have throws a crazy amount of light.
