Looks great! I noticed on some of the 2022 models they include an automatic bumper step!

Same. I think I even have a thread somewhere on it. Would not recommend. I love the step, but the recommended install sucked.

I keep fighting getting one of the these because I don't think I'll like the step there when looking at the truck.
But my bone on bone knees and shoulders are starting to have me not caring what the step looks like when up.

Thanks guys for the cutting tip.
The PITA install was also keeping me from getting one...

    Too many, but not enough....
Actually I think this hugs the back bumper of the truck pretty well and isnt really noticable. My buddy has one on his tacoma and i feel like it hangs way lower and is more visible.

I ordered one a few years ago for my 2014. Upon installation it was clear some thing was wrong. I phoned AmpStep and told them. They sent me a different brace which they neglected to initially include. No biggeee. Nice install. My veterinarian has one on each side of his tundra, just in front of the rear wheel wells to get into his work box.

I purchased mine from Rohrich Toyota, along with my remote tailgate lock. $212.75 for step, with free shipping.

Saw blade it off, file, and paint. I used rustoleum.

A must for anyone whom wants to make it easy for themselves. I can believe what the dealer charges to install this part, if not ordered at time of purchase.

Yes, you use two existing factory bolts to mount the bracket.

I just received my oem bed step. Just confirming - I have the color matched resin bumper. I can still just cut the existing support and not use the supplied bracket correct?

Just finished installing. Cut the stock bracket and had no issues with install.

Mine sits level; are you sure you have the shim installed correctly? And make sure you have the hex head screws cinched down and in the correct holes.

One thing to note…..I noticed that a lot of people are not using the support bracket for the step. When you use the stock bracket it had a welded threaded nut. You cannot tuck the support bracket under it due to the angle. But you can get a thinner bolt to put through the existing hole and bolt down the support. Pictures below.

Thank you , I noticed it yesterday since I don’t drive the truck a lot and installed it like a month ago.
The pic I posted was from one of the forums.
I took couple of pictures today from my truck and mine doesn’t look as bad , still a little tilt but not that pronounced.
Everything is installed properly from what I can see . only thing is the support bracket is joined with the factory support bracket (which I had to trim)

The only thing you might want to try……connect the support bracket to the screw behind that in your picture. There is the support bracket where you have it installed and then the screw behind it (before the plastic clip). I installed the step support bracket onto that screw if that makes sense. It’s much sturdier there…….

No I used a smaller bolt and nut that fit through the hole and just tightened it down that way.

you can see the silver bolt here. You could probably notch the stock bracket but the way it is will not allow you to tuck the support bracket under to use the existing bolt…..

I took closer look and I don’t like how it is sitting , definitely not right , I double checked the shim and it seems to be properly installed , only thing is the support bracket but you would think it wouldn’t cause it to tilt like that …

Sucks man , sent email to sparks parts to see if they had similar question before and if they have any recommendations.
On one of the other threads , one guy had to trim the shim 45 degree angle to get it straightened out .

Mine attached to the location you suggested, and the OEM bolt worked.

I have the same problem. Not sure how to fix it yet, but once I get some down time I will figure it out.
