Your old leafs and shocks must have still been in alright working condition. Mine were so clapped out it road pretty soft but just blasted through all the travel when I hit a speed bump. I actually lost some small bump comfort with my new er Frankenstein springs but the stability of a decent shock and decent feeling leaf is hard to explain. I'm interested to see if I have a change in wet weather traction. That's a really cool observation. Hopefully my budget setup gains me some of those benefits also.

All this bump stop and leaf talk made me shell out some more money before T2S. Ordered some Timbren ABSOSRs and new ubolts for the rear.

Are you running e85 or boost? Any idea of your stft/ltft (short & long term fuel trims)?

Thats a pretty significant jump from stock 250cc iirc.

    270cc would be my guess

But 270 was blues from DD if I remember right?

Not boosted yet, lol. Wanted to be ready. Plus I wanted to see how well they work NA with tuned ECM plus Aeromotive pump combination.

Ordered a 4” seamless air tank, wasn’t actually in stock, so I had to go with a 5” tank. It doesn’t fit in the frame rails like I had hoped; possibly due to the lip on my slider frame brackets.
Second choice was possible spare tire cross member; to low hanging fruit.
Final option that should work well, mount to the under side of the bed behind the tire cross and infront of the bumper, win!
I also ordered a water separator to be schmancy. Also need to figure out what ports are 3/8 and which ones are 1/4 FIP, those two are the worst to eyeball and be correct.
Also, I’m not sure if I want to make a two or 4 legged air up hose system……..
As of now I’m thinking of mounting the female chuck on my rear bumper right in front of the driver brake light 24F22118-AF8A-4FF1-925E-548168DB1C29.jpg

Speaking of fuel systems, anyone ever successfully add an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to your rig? Or done an inline fuel filter to 2005+ without OE filter outside like pre 2005s.

If I do the horns, I’ll have to figure out a atf injection system into the exhaust manifolds, so I can “roll coal” like the other train horn goobers!

Where’s the pictures of the pinch weld trimming done to fit tires? Is there a dedicated thread or are they scattered about?

Probably an unpopular opinion but there's nearly zero need for an external filter on most modern vehicles. Fuel is filtered multiple times at the refinery and when you get it at the station. Most newer vehicles almost all use plastic tanks so there's very little contamination unless it's intentional.

I actually agree with you. My URD fuel pump kit has an external filter but I don't plan on running it.

Drove around for 1/2 the day going anywhere from 10 mph to 80 mph with my magnetic LED light stuck to the bottom of the frame rail.

Glad I didn't lose it on the highway and cause an accident. :eek2:

Welcome to the world of Diablo Carbide blades! I have used these things since they came out! They cut steel like butter!
They certainly save time! They may cost a bit more, but time is money!

fifteen52 wheels wrapped in bfgkm3s, camper build, fox2.0 in the rear and soon to be installed archive HD leaf pack and hanger, king 2.5 ifp with camburg upca.
first post on this forum. just installed some fox 2.0 w/reservoir shocks onto the 01 AC today. process has been a bit slow because of the retro fit. these where originally intended for a 2019+ dodge 3500 front end. I picked these up for free from work, they had about 2000 miles on them. I had to press out the lower bushings and replace with new ones, the stem top bushings where also a bit too big so I got some smaller ones that would fit this truck a little better. they ride a little more stiff than what i am used to (blown out 20 year old OEM shocks) but I will get used to it, currently there is no camper shell on it so it lifted the rear end about an inch. with all that weight back on it i am expecting it to sit just perfect, the leaf's are stock for the time being but in the future I will go with archive garages HD leaf pack and hangers. the travel numbers increased greatly so i am very happy with how this all turned out. thoughts?IMG_7556.jpg IMG_7545.jpg
