Last night they had the same commercial of the 21 Tundra with the Tacoma and 4Runner. Maybe next week like @moobaru said above.

Your link worked for me, very exciting! I hope the media embargo ends Sunday as well so we can get all the details and specs while Toyota starts rolling the commercials during the football games.

The halogen headlights can overheat if left on high beam too long when the truck isn't moving.
The issue being the Tundra uses a dual-filament bulb, usually for high beam the vehicle will turn off low beam filament while switching over to high beam filament. These kinds of bulbs have 3 pins, +12 low beam, +12 high beam and GND. In the Tundra, both filaments are being powered when in high beam, causing the bulb to run much hotter, and the single return wire and connector to be overloaded as 2x the design current is flowing through the single GND connection

Y'know...I wonder if this is part of the reason why the 2020 Tundra lamps had that 'wiring issue' (the only other recall we've had that I'm aware of). In other words I'm wondering if that was meant to try to 'fix' this issue.

I couldn't find this elsewhere in this thread, but I admittedly didn't scan the last 6 pages considering how fast this thread gets posts lol. Confirmed 2022 launch date.

In the event that the release is a flop, I've constructed a crappy contingency plan that will more than likely not be available. It's fun to look though.

sure, depends on your trim tastes, SR5 doesnt cut it for me, but that would certainly be another option.

Ive just never really seen the value of the Pro vs what they charge and what you get

perhaps that is going to change in a few days here

is there really $15,000 in upgrades from the SR5 to the 1794 or Platinum? That number seems high

Yeah but an SR5 in the low $40k mark is isn't going to have the SR5 tech/premium package. Meaning you get the lousy 26 gal fuel tank. Most SR5's with the upgrade package and larger 38 gal tank are closer to $48-$49k. That still gets you a plastic or whatever steering wheel and cloth seats.

ok, looks like all this speculation shit is coming to an end shortly here.

sucks in the regard to where if we actually want one of these things, good luck getting one for any kinda normal purchase with all the shortage, market, etc.

I may keep my 2016 for a bit longer until the market gets somewhat back to sane

@Cpl_Punishment is in Canada, and they get stuff in the SR5 that we do not get in The States.

You just have to find the right dealer. I already have a fully refundable deposit on a 2022 at MSRP. No dealer markup. Look and call around for the right dealership that doesn't do market adjustments.

lol just heard that the 2023 lexus lx is retaining the 5.7L v8 (UR) if i am correct on the engine code. so all the toyota v8 are going to lexus now exclusively it seems, like the old v8 4runner. if you want a v8 go get a lexus, hahaha.
