Based on your 2006 DC, I guess they are good to go on my 2005 DC...

Today is timing belt day for my 2006. It looks pretty good at 62000 miles but the water pump is seeping and it’s overdue on years anyway. The job is going pretty well. I have it all apart and starting to put pieces back on now. I decided to replace the radiator and thermostat since I have them out of the truck anyway. There is some rust behind the front bumper that needs to be addressed and the headlight covers are fogged up.

100% sure it would be my pick if available. The only question is do I wait for the end of October which could easily slip to end of year and am I comfortable being an early adopter? Trending towards yes on cold case because why the f not?

Best approach angle option it seems. Have you looked at rears at all? Also, per a recent email exchange, they may come out with sliders soon

I’ve checked out BFF and Coastal’s rear bumpers. I tow a lot pretty often and I trust the oem hitch more than the receiver options from both. Big Booty Judy weighs enough as she sits.

Makes sense. I'll likely only ever use mine for a bike rack the way I'm going so gaining a few inches of clearance in the back doesn't bum me out so much. I am a little curious if any of the rear bumpers allow using a bolt on hitch. Mine right is a curt and a custom 7-pin, both hanging pretty low, it'll be nice to button that stuff up.

If your kids think they'll be driving your truck one day, they're going to have to get better at parallel parking.
That's pretty bad curb rash on their rims.

If a guy wanted to peek at his Timing Belt as it's an unknown - is there a thread somewhere here, or anyone have some good photos of what said guy would be opening up to take said peek? :anonymous:

I believe there are 3bolts holding on the plastic covers in front of the valve covers, those can come off/loose enough to take a peak

For me it was less a hassle to remove the LH timing belt cover. RH cover access to certain bolts is more trouble IMHO.

    Timing Belt Cover.jpg

This was a 3 part series that was super helpful when preparing for TB change. This might not help much since the engine was out but at the 10:45 mark he takes off LH cover!

Yep. I just checked my driver side and removed the 4 10mm bolts and pulled the plastic cover back a little to see the belt. I also turned the truck over 1 or 2 times to check different parts of the belt.

That video is helpful. How soft is that plastic cover? Can I undo two 10mm bolts to see in, or am i going after that 3rd one lower down too?

Personally, whichever side you choose to do, you can be the better judge of which is the easier. The bottom right nut on passenger side is not easiest to get to but you be the judge....to each their own ! As for the cover, it's fairly sturdy plastic.

Does anyone know how I can get the window trim uniformly black again? These are pics after applying 303. Hard to tell in the pics, but the discolored spots are almost white.

I really like Griots Bumper & Trim. It will dye things back to black, but it has a sponge top bottle, would be tough to use on that shape unless you used a brush, or are far more patient than I. But the product does an excellent job.

I really need new door trim. The bottom of my driverside trim is split and holds water. The passenger side squeels sometimes on the highway when it's windy out
