I have never need to use thread lock with spacer, just torque it to oem torque spec. Never have an issue. But that’s just me:)

I’m pretty sure the last set of Spidertrax I installed had a torque recommendation of 135 Ft-lbs and also came with red loctite so I was surprised about the BORA instructions and their voiding of the warranty if loctite is used. Maybe blue loctite is a little better than red for this application...

This is a 1.25" spacer with 285/70 on stock TRD rims. My calculations it gives me an offset of 28. Installed properly with blue loctite and retorqued at every rotation. No issues and a mean look.

Ive been doing way to much research on spacers. Just put fender flares on the truck today and now I want to put spacers on to make them a little wider. My problem is I haul a 6500lb camper. I dont haul it all that often , but will be hauling it to georgia from PA in a couple months. Whats everyones opinion on hauling with spacers?

I can vouch for BORA, had them on several vehicles. USA made, you can actually talk to the owner, and he makes a nice product. STAY AWAY from the cheap ones on eBay etc. I had a set where as soon as I torqued the lug nut the stud snapped right off. They went straight in the trash and I learned my lesson.

I bought some RR. Will see how they are. I like how they say grade 8 but it’s metric. 8.8 metric is roughly equivalent to grade 5 sae. And 10.9 is like grade 8. Which they clearly say 10.9 on the back of the studs.

Yes. Mine are stock SR5 Steelies I use for winter tires. Backside of wheel looks flat,no pockets. Took all of 5 min to grind the stock rear studs so they don’t protrude past the spacer. Not a big deal.

Anyone with 1.25" spacers and 295-70-18 tires on a OEM wheels by chance? I have a TRD Pro that is lifted an extra 2" up front (4" total) and 3.75" at the back. I currently have 1.25" spidertrax spacers with my TRD Pro BBS wheels and 275-70-18 KO2s but want to upsize to the 295s. If anyone has any input please let me know as im scheduled this Saturday at the tire shop but can easily back out.

I have a 2013 with 295s and stock steel wheels. Leveled, not lifted with 1.25 spacers. I took the spat, front mud flap, off. I've heard it rub 3 times. Always while turning and breaking. Once tires were aired down to 18 psi. I can't duplicate it and never saw a mark.

Thanks. Yeah, im starting to expect that the front bumper mud flaps will need to be removed. Right now, I have absolutely no rubbing...

    Hello,

I have a 2016 1794 CM 4X4. I installed the Fox TRD Pro suspension and 1/4 CB shims in front, so lifted about 2.5" from stock in the front and added 1.5" shackles in the rear. I'm running 1" Bora spacers on the 18" Pro BBS wheels and 295/70 Cooper XLT AT3 tires. I started out with 1.25" spacers. For me, I removed the front small flaps and used a heat gun to shape the front wheel well liner and mud flaps to eliminate the rubbing. No biggie and maybe an hours worth of work on cheap $35 well liners. I think I gained a little clearance when going to 1" Bora spacers and just reducing by 1/4" helped with the crap being thrown onto the side of my truck.

    Best.

How many pound feet of torque do you usually torque the spacer to your hub with?
