First Trip in my new to me 01 AC 4x4 SR5. The soft topper was a good choice for keeping everything dry. Rained both days. We got up to ~5300 ft of elevation in the national forests of Western Washington state.

This is my 06 Double Cab, 2WD, nothing special. Had some work done after I bought it, timing chain, suspension,20210811_094257.jpg 20210811_094313 - Copy.jpg 20210811_094330.jpg 20210811_094344.jpg and a couple of other small issues. . Runs and drives like it is brand new. Goes in for a full paint job 13 Sept 21, I just can't bring myself to get rid of it.

Sadly, I looked at the neighborhood and was like, "yep, Florida" :D

Wasn't sure if FL or DFW area at first, had to live near NAS Jax and NAS Dallas before heading off to Miramar. Things look strangely similar between the former two.

Why the full paint? Looks pretty damn awesome to me, like $500 polishing job would have it looking brand new again.

Paint looks good until you get close, hood is flaking and the topissun drained. Since this truck is in awesome shape and I can't seem to let it go, I am getting in as best shape as I can. NAS Pensacola, salute!

@wick only 21,000 miles? That's incredible. It looks new. I bet you could sell it for a lot but I wouldn't do it! Is it 4x4?

Yep, that why we decided to keep an already great truck, throw a few dollars at it, and drive it till the wheels fall off, salute! You have great ride, you can be mighty proud!

My first Gen Tundra. Own it from 2008-2018.
2002 Tundra SR5 w/ TRD Off Road package @ 75k miles when I bought it. Sold it with 143k miles.
Bought it used, $16K. Sold it as is equipped with everything for $15,200. <-- That's crazy! No rust, no dents, polished and waxed twice yearly.

One lucky 16 yr kid got his first truck. He liked it so much he asked his dad if they can take it home that day. I sold it to them the next day. One lucky kid.

I have a soft heart for the first Gen Tundras. Never gave me any problems other than 2 battery changes, 2 sets of brakes, and rear seal replaced.
My two kids were growing and needed a bigger truck. So now this is the family truck....

Really nice first gen you had there. You wanna know what's crazy? If you still had it and sold it practically any time this year you would have gotten more than you paid for it!

Cars/trucks are suppose to depreciate. It's insane with these prices now and days. Who knows, I could've gotten $20k for it. LOL.

I dunno, that is one of my favorite colors for these trucks. I like the neutral tones a lot.

You know, I suspect you can pull that dent behind the driver wheel pretty easy. You're going to think I'm kidding but I'm not, google for dildo dent removal or dildo dent repair and watch the videos. You don't need to use a dildo for it, but you get the idea. Friends and I have used that trick with other suction devices to pop wide dents like that out, the metal snaps right back into its memory of the place it wants to be as long as there's not too many ripples. Yours is an ideal candidate.

I know that the Tacoma guys got something together a year or so back but I think we may be one of very few central/west TX first gens. I try to avoid TacomaWorld at all costs but if you wanna message me some dates/details, I’ll see what my calendar looks like. I love getting down to that part of Texas. Actually just got back from a trip and have two more on the schedule for this fall.
