I haven’t tried too many calls yet. Most of my use is talk to text and Waze/Apple Music. Not sure how much that helped you, but I haven’t had any issues with the built in mic.
Only thing I need tweaking now is how quite Siri is when she reads text. Do you know if there is a setting for that?

I have the external microphone, fingerlake brand from Amazon. Works fine. No comparison between the internal vs the external mic though. I’ve read the internal works ok but not great. Therefore i went external. Noone had complain about not being able to hear me. So, so far so good.

I have the JBL amp and this thing is so loud. I have to turn the volume down to 2 to make it quite so you can have a conversation. Do you have it setup correctly?

Completely agree. I bought this mic (Fingerlakes 3.5mm Microphone) off Amazon and people tell me it sounds really good.

Go into the factory settings and there is a “voice” tab. Set everything to zero and then test out and adjust and needed.

Mine is fine, I thought someone said they had to turn volume all the way up to hear anything. Mine is thumping at 14 volume, and the Loudness etc... is all turned off

oh yeah. I mess around with all the settings. Volume was pretty weak for me. The pioneer amp changed all that.

I have the OBDlink MX+ with the latest firmware, I can see it as an available device in bluetooth setting but I can't get the headunit to pair with it. Any ideas? I have the Dasaita PX6 Max10

My headunit is an OKNAVI which I believe is very similar, and I just went through the same issue connecting BlueTooth for OBD2.

On my HU, there are TWO Bluetooth connection types. A2DP for better audio quality connections (phone and music) and while I don't know what the second is called, it is for non audio devices like our OBD2.

While I could see and even "somewhat" connect to my OBD2 in the same Bluetooth window where I pair phones and other A2DP devices, it did not function and would drop. Within my Bluetooth app, there are several sub-pages, one of them was for making and managing phone connections and another was mostly settings (ON/OFF) but at the bottom of the window of this other page there was another Advanced or something like that. I went into that window and there was some information on the screen which explained this. I was able to pair from this window and then Torque would see my OBD2 BT adapter. This was a huge PITA to figure out; I did web searches and did not see a single reference; everyone else apparently "just connected" with no issues. Maybe some HU's are different but... you might consider this while trying to connect to your BT for OBD2.

    Sure.
The GUI look may be different since I have OKNAVI, not dasaita but, the concept might be the same. This "other screen" is called BlueTooth data services on my HU. Here are the pic's:

I have a much cheaper ODB2 BT scanner and it had no problem connecting. My only issue is the Torque app won’t save settings.
Are you using an app or how do you know it won’t pair?
Also, I remember seeing something about Dasaita not working with all BT scanners?

It just stays as an available device, it never pairs. So if it doesn't pair, it is never available in any app. Works great on my phone.

I bought the Dasaita 10.2 for my 2007 Tundra Crewmax with Jbl system. The cb005 bas cable was back ordered until the end of next month so I bought a Pac RP4.2-TY11. I hooked everything up per instructions. Radio, amp, and speakers all work but I can’t get the swc to work for nothing! I’ve tried everything. Has anyone used this and have any helpful information? Only part I’m iffy about is where I wired the swc wires( blue/yellow and brown) to the swc wires in my truck.

The radio really wakes up the Jbl system! I can’t believe Toyota sells Tundras with such weak head units!

The one you listed is the exact model I just installed. I’m sure if someone tested the audio output of these compared to Kenwood or Pioneer, those brands are superior, but to my ears this radio does great.
The wireless Apple CarPlay auto connects 99% of the time. Only times I have to intervene is when I remote start my truck.
I think the display is capacitive vs resistive so the screen is very responsive.
I’ve been happy with mine so far and love the large display. It makes the 7” Pioneer in my car look so small now.
I also like how this looks more OEM and molded to the dash vs the others which look more like floating displays.

All I needed was the CB005 harness for CAN.

I went with the 10” screen as I wanted something that resembled more OEM. The larger screens are more of the floating style that I didn’t like.

I went with the 10.2 and love it. It made my Jbl system sound like it should have from factory! Looks like it came in the truck stock.

Was on the fence about Dasaita and Joying but liked the ever-present volume buttons on the Dasaita since I have an SR5 without JBL = no steering wheel controls. So I ordered the Dasaita this morning. I'm going to try to live with Android auto but have a feeling I'm going to rather upgrade my phone plan to allow hotspotting to the head unit for full internet functionality.

What are some of the favorite easter egg settings? Different launchers or just work with the factory UI?

12” Bulletproof Lift, AFE CAI, AFE Exhaust, rock lights, Fas-Top tonneau and soft topper, Dasaita 10.2” radio, light bar, ditch lights, LED headlights and fog lights, LED interior lights, Amp Research rear bumper step, dashcam, BT ODBII reader and Torque app on radio
I honestly haven’t done much with it. Use Apple CarPlay 90% of the time. I did get a Bluetooth ODB2 scanner and bought the torque app.
But I love the 10.2” screen, OEM fit, and wireless CarPlay.

Hey guys, figured I'd throw this up here. The new 11.6" Joying unit. Does NOT fit without slight modification but overall pretty happy with the outcome.
