Any need to add a shim(s) to compensate for the driver's side lean? I can't remember if anyone had to add shims to either side after install?

FYI - I will go with the heavy 613 coils for a bumper/winch and Dakar rear leafs plus D28XL add a leafs (plus air bags). Future host for a Four Wheel Camper...

I added 2 on driver side and 1 passenger with the 612 coils. That was after going to a 37x13.50 though, needed a little more clearance. I'm running the standard Dakar pack with bags too.

Where have yall found the best deal on the OME + Dakar full suspension setup? I thought I was going with the aluma series, but for the same price as the aluma + shackle it seems i can go ome + dakar and replace my completely worn out rear leafs. Thanks in advance!

Slee Offroad sells them as a package with a bit of a discount. Generally has them in stock as well.

According to Toytec, they haven't seen the leaf packs in quite some time. Slee doesn't have leaf packs available according to their site, and the lift is unavailable at boss as well. I ordered a kit from Toytec yesterday and now I just get to play the waiting game. I was reluctant on which springs to get for the front. I don't currently have a winch or bumper, but eventually would like to get a semi hidden mount from Southern Style Offroad, or Victory 4x4. They're between 35-50lbs without the winch. Looks like winches average around 80 with synthetic cable. I placed the order with the 612's then changed it today to the 614's. Fingers crossed its not overbearing difference until I piece together a winch/bumper. My only experience is with the 613's but had an ARB bumper and 12k Warn with steel cable. Ran that suspension for 11 years and 150k miles without any issue. Great product.

I got some good news today. My Dakar leaf pack shipped today. Ordered them June 3, unfortunately the coils and struts wont be available until middle to end of August. Said they were in the middle of the ocean in a large shipping container headed stateside.

Thank God. I just called 4WP today following up on my OME Heavy kit. He said he talked to ARB and there was just one component missing (he was upset he forgot what it was) and had no ETA.

@bf7527 Where did you get this information?

OME Nitrocharger/2612 (front), Bilstein 5100s (rear). Vanguard roll bar modified (by me) to fit over Patriot Stealth retractable tonneau. Aftermarket halo headlights with HID, various LED bulb replacements. 17" Fuel Blitz wheels with some 33" Nitto terra grapplers. Hoodscoop, nfab nerfbars, Bushwacker flares. No-name aftermarket grille, led fender extensions. Black Horse bambi-basher. Various offroad lights.
Just got my 612's put on my 90018 Nitrochargers yesterday. Put my front end up just past level with bilstein 5100's no spacer or shackle in the rear. The ride is great, and when my bambi-basher gets off backorder I think it should sit about perfect (for me, I like the level look).

@t-bear , the salesman at Toytec told me about the shipping container in route. He expects the parts to ship to me, late July to mid August. Now I have all of these parts and a set of tires just waiting on the front coilovers.

Anyone add the D28XL add a leafs to their Dakar spring pack? Were you able to reuse the existing Dakar center pin? If not does anyone know an OME part number for the appropriate pin?

ETA - I'm seeing I can get dedicated center pins/bolts from Advance Auto, etc. What new length would be appropriate? What diameter (3/8th)?

Final ETA - ARB OME Part Number UCB17 is the correct number and required for the AAL .

@bf7527 Hey any more word on your coils and struts? I checked with 4WP last week and still no clue when I will get my full kit (just missing one component - and I bet it is either the coils or struts as you mentioned).

I talked to toytec Friday maybe, still no struts. I have everything minus the struts and springs. Toytec is waiting on the struts from ARB. Still says they’re in a boat somewhere and expect them by late august early September

Installed everything last night, drove great on the way home from our shop. Still need an alignment and tires mounted. The smallest things seemed to have been a pain in the a$$. The driver side nut on the differential drop, and the sway bar bolts on the lower control arms. Took me 5 hours by myself to get everything swapped out from start to finish. New leaves and shocks on the back, new springs and struts on the front (preassembled), carrier bearing drop kit, and the front diff drop. All around it wasnt too bad. I've measured the drivers side only so far. Prelift center of hub to fender 21.5", post lift 24" driver front. Prelift hub to fender, driver rear, 23.25", post lift 25.5. Time will tell, but I am happy with the results.

Below are some reference pics for those debating the old man emu lift. Garage picture is after installing the 275/65R20 Toyo Open Country AT3 with the 612 springs and Dakar Leaf Packs, as well as a pre-lift picture of the same truck. Then, my 08 Tundra with 613 springs, Dakar Leaf packs and 295/70R18 Nitto Trail Grapplers. Neither of the trucks have any rub in any situation. Hope this helps anyone considering this kit. I have been very pleased with the low maintenance, reliability of the lift. Compliments those same qualities that we buy the Tundra for.

looks great. I have used OME on other vehicles and currently have the suspension on my 4th gen 4runner. How does the Tundra suspension ride and feel, light 612s?

It’s firmer than the factory suspension. Really only notice a difference in the rear in my opinion. I have a toolbox back there with roughly 200lbs worth of tools, Jack’s, etc and you can feel the rear over sharp road bumps like an uneven concrete joint or concrete jointed highways that have been overlayed with asphalt. The asphalt will hump up at the expansion joint. Feels like a mini speed bump. But I like it, feels like a truck should.

Body roll in the corners is substantially less as well, doesn't bobble back and forth on windy mountain roads. Big improvement, feels way more planted.

Good news after ordering my suspension end of May... It should be in and complete by end of week and installation scheduled this coming Monday. Fingers crossed. Just about 14-15 weeks after ordering!

Pics please! I've been very pleased with mine so far. I have noticed a slight creaking sound coming from the rear springs. Spent alot of time on dusty roads recently which I attribute it to. My old truck did it off and on as well with the Dakar packs.

Thanks for posting, What yea tis your truck?

If you have not added any weight up front and your truck is 4wd you will most likely see 2.75"-3.00" out of the 612 coil. using a set of +2"s will get you as close to level as you would want to go. If your truck is newer and has the 38 Gal fuel tank and or is a 2018 or newer with TSS I would recommend using our +3"s. Hope this helps. if you have any other questions feel free to call in and will gladly go over in better detail. David 801.635.4872
