    Thanks for the warm welcome, it is amazing how much useful info these forums contain. So Ive seen a little about wheel finishes, but I am curious to hear y'alls suggestions...I just put Goodyear Ultraterrains on yesterday and although the pics don't show, the wheels are a little beat up. I'm thinking about refinishing them, whether it be paint, plastidip, or some other finish I am not yet aware of, but open to suggestions. Cheers

    This is your thread, it started as your intro but can morph no problem. What color are you wanting to make your wheels? Are you wanting to do it yourself or take it to a shop? Are you a big offroader (wheels will be abused) or is your truck mainly on the road?

    You mean I've been here less than a week, made two posts and you can't read my mind yet!? :D To your point, all good questions - color - im thinking black or gunmetal. I would like to diy it... im always up for diy as much as possible. Finally, these wheels and tires will probably never see a road that isn't paved

    Pretty sure he used something like this:

    With a 2k clear over it. Just clean and scuff the wheels and you should be able to use most paint for metal. Ensure you use an automotive clear so it lasts. Good luck :thumbsup:

    Great looking truck.
    Only thing I would add is 2019 LED headlights and an @iHacker harness.
    I added the 2019 TRD Pro (blacked out) LED head lights to my 2014 SR5..
    Just something to think about, all in due time.
    Better looking, MUCH better light output and beam cutoff than the halogen lights.

    Dude those look good! looks like you bought them that way. I’ve read a bit about duplicolor, seems like a solid product. I like accent color on the caliper too.

    Thanks! It’s the 2k clear that makes them look great. Duplicolor has a few wheel color choices, but Rustoleum has tons of metal-look colors to choose from for the exact color wheel you’re going for.

    I like that look too, especially if I’m getting rid of the chrome. But ya it seems these 2014 headlights not only don’t look good, they’re not very bright…but that could just be my truck.

    No, it isn't your truck.
    It's the halogen headlight bulbs.

    Sorry to bombard you with headlight swaps/mods.
    But I've done over $15K in mods to my 2014 SR5 (lifts/level, audio, sound deadening, bed cover, leather seats, etc), and replacing the headlights is one of the top 3.
    Getting rid of the chrome, also in the top 3.
    Haven't figured out what to do with my bumper ends yet..
